Discobelle’s new release from San Francisco’s Worthy is a percolating tech-house ass shaker infused with enough oomph to make you sweat until you’ve messed up your hair. An infectious vocal sample and an uncontainable bubbling vibe make this one peak hour jacking tech-house at its best.

Accompanying the original, we’ve got three great remixes to round out the package from Worthy, Harvard Bass, Renaissance Man and Femme En Fourrure.

First up, Harvard Bass gives a chunky, infectious bruiser that strikes a perfect balance between the deeper dancefloors and the uncontrollable, messier ones.

Then, architects-turned-house-music-innovators Renaissance Man turn Worthy’s track into a sparse and icy percussive techno journey, continuing to push house music to deeper, stranger places.

Finally and also from Helsinki, Femme En Fourrure choose to let things simmer a bit with a druggy pulse and some signature female vocals evoking Laura Palmer’s from Twin Peaks if she was making dance music.

A huge package to start off the new year! David Flores aka Audio Injection drops his 1st EP on Sleaze with 2 killer tracks. His deep, dark & powerful style was perfectly demonstrated with his excellent remixes of Hans Bouffmyhre & Morgan Tomas on Sleaze last year. David has been making waves in the global techno scene, with big releases & remixes on CLR, Electric Deluxe & Droid over the past year.

We welcome back Par Grindvik for the first remix. His ‘Head Version’ of Toggle reminds us of his amazing productions from a few years ago, when we first fell in love with his sound! Next up is our good friend Perc, who has been on fire of late with his ‘Antifunk / Purple’ release on CLR and recently provided a mix for the world famous Resident Advisor podcast! Label boss Hans Bouffmyhre rounds up the EP with his interpretation of Cant Believe. Look out for Hans’ debut artist album on Harthouse later this month!

Slickly organic tech-house minimalism from Bruno Pronsato on his 2nd release for thesongsays recods. It's hard to avoid the Villalobos comparisons - such is the weight of influence from the Chilean auteur - but that's also a great compliment.

The deft 3D sound design of ‘Anybody But You’ is supremely accomplished and deeply engrossing for the ten minute duration, while the vocal treatments and dark grooving bass of ‘Feel Right’ are perfect for those cross-eyed 6am moments.

Pampa Records is back with its sixth release. This one will be a split 12” of Isolée and Robag Wruhme who each drop tracks of their upcoming artist albums to be released on Pampa in 2011.

There it is again - the very unique Isolée feeling. This diffuse happiness that occurs. No matter in which club of the world this tune might be dropped, pure euphoria appears instantaneously. „Taktell“ is a warm, intelligent timeless piece of music. Yes, it's classic mesmerizing, melty, melancholic, terrific sounddesigned Rajko Müller material. Oh, that’s Isolée’s real name. Yes, it’s hard to believe something so beautiful could come from such a wretched species as homo sapiens. This is the kind of music that sounds like it was plucked directly from a dewy-leafed Haribo tree by a one-eyed synthasaurus. It’s an evergreen already and taken from upcoming Isolée album Well Spent Youth, to be released on Pampa Records on January 28th, 2011.

Side AA: Robag Wruhme - Thora Vukk

Robag Wruhme, by no mere coincidence, is also preparing his latest full-length album Thora Vukk, to be released in late March 2011. Robag´s festive anthem „Thora Vukk“, here in a special 12” edit, raises highest expectations on the upcoming longplayer, which guarantees the most exceptional & beautiful material that the world has seen in a long time. On „Thora Vukk“ THX-sounds meet frenzy-melancholy, tardiness on focused half metallic reverberations and half fairy-tale make-out sessions. This is the kind of dance music, that reflects the belief in the movement perfectly.

First step made by Octave to introduce his own label with two original tracks and and two remixes of Techno | Minimal music for dark rooms.

The main track of the EP “Hyper Ego” is full of energy through a banging kick and a groovy bassline which are sustaining a digital space full of hypnotic and glitchy synths evolving in a moving atmosphere.

The second track “Silent Strike” is more mental, deep and progressive but on solid Techno basis. Real dark vibes in a deep atmosphere supported by a black and powerfull bassline.

Audio Injection’s remix is a real mind blower in a very deep atmosphere and can raise any dancefloor up. Between dark feelings and rolling basslines... this sound gives a true minimalistic intensity.

Tom Hades totally reinterpreted Hyper Ego and delivered a real pounding remix for big club sensations, throught intelligent head shaker loops and a big dancing bassline.

What´s that coming over the hill?! It´s Moenster back on the floor after their latest releases on MusicisMusic and Microtonal. The record´s name is even program: two beautiful hypnotic tunes getting remixed by Robag Wruhme (Freude am Tanzen, Musik Krause, Vakant, Movida) and Sascha Braemer (Supdub, Stil vor Talent, Shaker Plates).

When dance music's creative vanguard get their paws on the Spectral Sound catalogue, the results are rarely less than spectacular. Spectral Essentials: Remixes One cherry-picks some of the best Spectral-affiliated remixes, that is, Spectral artists both remixed and remixing, and ties them up with a pretty ribbon. Standouts include James T. Cotton's subterranean take on Brian Aneurysms "Das Element Des Menschen" Osborne's house-y "Simulacrum Mix" of The Vanishers "The Tic-Tac Tactic", Peter Grummich's click-clacking remix of Matthew Dear's "It's Over Now", and Barem's desert-dry remix of Kate Simko's "She Said".

The rare use of wheeling gul sounds in a house track coupled with the wintery charm of Suddenly Somethin' got my tail up straight away when I first heard it in Jozif’s RA mix. A glacial London and the insistent plod seemed fitting for this release and the rest of the package works its way through you like the spreading thaw of spring.

The title track takes the epic drama of his Wolf + Lamb release, elongating the groove to turn in a 6am bliss out. Assertive yet sensitive, the track cheekily steps on and off of the floor, sending trippy pulses across lush washes of melody while a fuzzy, cradle like bassline rocks back and forth. The drums are raw and organic, tough without being pounding while strings and woodblocks add to the cinematic feel. The track is widescreen like most things associated with Agoria, but its agility and dexterity is not hindered and Sunrise shifts its bulk with grace and pose.

The aforementioned Suddenly Somethin’ has a nostalgic edge, whether those without a coastal upbringing would agree is another point. My point is that the Seagull-like sounds show a daring imagination that counters the outright honesty in the melody, allowing for an emotional disco outpour without losing face.

Widescreen, emotional boxes have been ticked to pass the InFiné test, Natural Nature and Cathy’s Diamonds tick the more leftfield boxes that the label’s tastes spread to. Rolling house in the style Craig Richards would use to diffuse his floor while still spinning heads, the track has a dark energy that pushes the parameters of the package. Cathy’s Diamonds takes an orchestral approach with soaring strings and untreated drums. Vocal samples and uneasy melodies add to the intrigue and illustrate the level of detail and emotional variation across the EP, sending it off in accomplished style.

Little Helpers is a conceptual digital label courtesy of Andrew Rasse (a.k.a. Butane) and Sean O'Neal (a.k.a. Someone Else) launched in December 2009. Each track is a strong, reduced groove-tool aimed to satisfy the increasing number of digital DJs. Much like the traditional lockgroove vinyl, these tracks are suitable for looping, editing and layering. Yet at the same time, each track has enough variation to stand on its own. That is, each tune lies somewhere between a full track and a DJ tool - focusing solely on the rhythm or a singular idea rather than extraneous arrangements.

Argentinean born artist Alejandro L. Ross aka Rudolf is back with his fourth Ep on Mean. Recorded between London and Ibiza in Mean 010 you will find elegant minimal grooves combined with jazz and sensual house.

Joda en Cala Comte is a playful experimentation of elastic and loopy sounds, powerful yet distorted. Toys and Us and Wet Shoes are dance floor delights, never losing sight of their dark and perlonesque elements. Remix duty comes from M_nus man Fabrizio Maurizi, giving Wet Shoes a peak time dancefloor edge.

It's been a long year. Days, weeks, months have passed and somewhere within the folds sounds have been paired and melodies made. On dark afernoons, late at night and through until morning, across internatonal borders, between friends and strangers, each of the compositons on this volume has been carefully crafed.

They stand together like an epigraph of all that you wish summer will be. A sound that four walls cannot hold, beyond the inevitable disappointment of clubs and to the hope of the wild. A reminder of how much you like to dance. A reminder that no mater what, theres always techno.

This release is full of big drums, big bottom ends (like our women), and skippy vocals the perfect storm for a torrential techhouse tornado!

Psicoilogical sets the pace with massive swelling baselines and some sick funk that will definitely get the dancefloor jackin to the beat. Throw in some catchy vocals and some serious flexing, and weve got a winner on our hands.

Reversible picks up where Psicoilogical leaves off with epic sweeping basslines and crisp, brooding percussion guaranteed to work the dancefloor into a frenzy.

Finally, Fabula Infantil leaves us feeling wiggly and jiggly all over that baseline has been known to cause sea sickness so take your pills to stay grounded. Amazing funk here we challenge you to tell us different!

Clink closes out the year with a powerful double pack from Tony Rohr, titled "Oddmatik". This is his first solo release on Clink since 2008, proving that the best come to those who wait. Refining what is most popularly known has his "voodoo techno" sound, Rohr has accomplished a mature collection of six diverse tracks via his Virus B, Nord Modular, Lead 2, an Elektron Monomachine and Machinedrum.

Each piece has a different charisma, ranging from melancholy house to peak techno, achieving an absorbing variation of ideas that only a few are able to do so fluently. Rohr is one of New York's most prolific and interesting techno artists and has an impressive discography dating back to 1999. He has achieved popular releases on iconic imprints like Cocoon, Plus 8, Drumcode, Weave and Podium, and works closely on production with American heavy-weights Tim Xavier, Alexi Delano and John Selway.

His charismatic and futuristic production style is ever-present throughout his music, and he maintains an unparalleled and dynamic sound while staying in tune with the ever-evolving techno and house genres. "Oddmatik" summarizes Tony's eleven-year journey in the studio and on the stage, and is some of his most compelling work to date.
