Loved and hammered a lot of times by Pete Tong in the Essential Selection since he got it after the WMC, Clarity Of Love by Pirupa was originally signed to Rebirth as an instrumental last year. In march Pirupa gets in the studio with South London singer Baz to deliver one of hottest tunes for the summer !

Baz, sister to famed techno producer/DJ Dave Angel and Britain's first female rap sensation, Monie Love, has been signed to One Little Indian in 2001 scoring a Uk Top 40 hit with the single Believers.

Clarity Of Love is a big anthem bringing back the old school flavor with a new sound, and found big support the whole summer from the most underground djs to the main radio stations worldwide. Unsung hero of Chicago house music Tevo Howard produces another emotional, raw and infectious remix using the main elements of the Original and taking us back to the vibe of Chicago house music. Pure class ! Bursting onto the scene with a bang, italian up and coming producer Leon goes deeper stripping the vocals back on an hypnotic groove ! After the successful Season Two, Gorge is also responsible for the outstanding Plastic City Radio Show – Season Three. Gorge aka Pit Waldmann expired electronic music in the late 80’s. He grew up with the sound of Thorsten Fenslau and Alexander Abraham and began to produce his own music in the middle of the 90’s. Taking a trip through all kinds of electronic music he finally came back to house and techno music influenced by deep Chicago house sound and Tech-House. The co-founder of 8bit Records (founded together with Nick Curly in 2005) is producing electronic music since the middle of the nineties and convinced with great releases on Freerange, 8Bit and Plastic City. Furthermore he surprised the DJs, listeners and the worldwide press with his brilliant debut album “Mood” a view month ago on his label 8Bit. On Season Three, he tastefully combined exclusive new tracks from artists like Tojami Sessions, Terry Lee Brown Junior, Cosmic Cowboys & Echonmist, Solan, Strict Border, Bas Amro, Junior Gee, Sasch BBC & Caspar, Tomoki Tamura and – of course – one of his tracks.

Further on it is to mention that since 13th of August 2008, Plastic City started the weekly “Plastic City Radio Show” on “Radio Ibiza Sonica”, presented by Contact Booking (www.contact-booking.de) and TrackTracker (www.tracktracker.com). “Radio Ibiza Sonica” is broadcasting since summer 2006 on 95.2 FM to Ibiza and Formentera and across the world from its www.ibizasonica.com. Every Wednesday (10 – 11 pm) and Saturday (8 – 9 pm), Gorge plays the deepest and hottest Tech-House tunes on the island. In his near decade history with recording and performing for Kompakt, Cologne's Aksel Schaufler aka Superpitcher has become synonymous with the sound of the label - the emotional sway and character he creates maintains unrivaled amongst today's ocean of comparisons. From James Holden to Foals he has been cited as an influence - his remixes are cherished and have almost legendary status. Take his breakthrough remix of M83 “Don't Save Us From Flames” which Pitchfork proclaimed as “everyone with ears should drop 99 cents at iTunes for the remix” and it goes without mention the impact his remixes for DNTEL, Quarks and most recently Charlotte Gainsbourg have had. As one half of SuperMayer (together with Kompakt co-conspirator Michael Mayer) they stormed the 2007 major festival circuit supporting their acclaimed full length “Save The World” and went on to remix a flurry of talent including Foals, Rufus Wainwright and Broken Social Scene. Though it's been six years since his debut full length “Here Comes Love” (KOMPAKT CD 32), it's clear that Superpitcher has remained fully in the picture not only as a producer but thanks to a diet of consistent, rigorous DJing. Now he returns with “Kilimanjaro” - a full length that emanates his rich knowledge in music and as a producer. “Kilimanjaro” is a story that only few electronic musicians still share. From the moment that Cologne church bells ease us into Schaufler's bewitching twist on dub with “Voodoo”, he sets the tone for themes that echoes throughout; enchantment, pain and magic. The first single “Rabbits In A Hurry” has caused a rapturous chime of support from the club elite and proves to be more than that within “Kilimanjaro” - unfounded disco dements itself with the sounds of the absurd in Superpitcher's sexiest signature flow. Diehard fans will rejoice with “Friday Night” which is a return to the classic Kompakt sound that Schaufler helped build and when he teams up with Comeme starlet Rebolledo it's a cosmic, hallucinogenic trip. Koelsch Tequila in your glass, the Seventies, disco, sex and the finest of drugs. However which way you look at it, Superpitcher has set up an accomplished sophomore release that maintains his roots in dance music while managing to have a complete disregard for genre and adding the involvement of acoustic instrumentation and vocals - a tough integration that works over and over again with “Kilimanjaro”.

Completing their transition from architects of the most innovative modern trance to true album artists, the Finnish duo are here with ‘Empire’ – an 11 track journey that will sit as easily on a lazy Sunday afternoon home stereo as it will a lazer-shot 3am stadium on a Saturday night.

Firmly established as Anjunabeats best selling artists behind Above & Beyond, the humble pair have been building up to this moment ever since joining forces in 2005. A former James Holden collaborator, Julie Thompson graces the blissful, gentle prog-trance of ‘My Enemy’, Alyna is on the swooning St. Etienne-styled electronic-pop of ‘Perfect Day’ and Betsie Larkin contributes her sassy husks on the upbeat ‘Good Times’.

For fans of Super8 & Tab’s instrumental melodic trance there is still plenty to savour.
The strafing Jean Michelle-Jarre-esque melodies of recent single ‘Black Is The New Yellow’ (with fellow Finn Anton Sonin) is Super8 & Tab at their sweeping, soaring best. On ‘Irufushi’ they blend the pacey groove of the Swedish house sound with the stadium sweeping euphoria of climatic trance, while ‘Bliss’ is an unashamed, energised homage to the rushing waves of the ’99 trance era.
The album closes, however, on the appropriately reflective ‘Free Love’ – a beautiful, bittersweet downbeat number with Jan Burton.

The perfect finish, it rounds off arguably the most complete trance-influenced artist album since Above & Beyond’s own ‘Tri-State’ in 2006. Super8 & Tab’s time is now; the ‘Empire’ is upon us.
