Following yet another vintage year for Axtone in 2010 with choice releases from Axwell, Prok & Fitch, Matt Caseli & Danny Freakazoid & Adrian Lux the label starts 2011 with a bang (pun intended).

‘Blow Up’ introduces two new sets of producers to Axtone in the shape of Hard Rock Sofa & St. Brothers. Collectively these Russian producers have been responsible for releases on the likes of Pink Star, Mutants, Cr2, Sirup, N.E.W.S, Nervous & many more but ‘Blow Up’ is set to be the record that launches them to the next level having been a mainstay in Axwell & the Swedish House Mafia’s record boxes (SD Cards) for the past 12 months.

Leading the way on the package Axwell teams up with Germany’s rising star Thomas Gold, sprinkling their magic dust on their re-vision drawing on the best parts of the Original and adding a new level of intensity that should see support right across the house music spectrum.

On the proverbial ‘flip’ two of Australia’s finest, Hook N Sling & Goodwill come together turning the record inside out, combining a piano laden break with a huge drop for a pure peak time moment.

Manchester’s finest Paul Farrier aka Shadow Dancer is back after his succesful release of his 2 acid-house tracks on Boysnoize sub-label BNR TRAX. He returns with 4 diverse songs for all of us cool DJs.

“Catmoves” is a great mix of modern Disco and House, it’s repetative arpeggio bassline builds through the track and creates an atmosphere you surely fill up the floor with.

“Parallax”, our hit of this ep, is an epic disco-tech song, which gives you warm feelings and takes you on a journey to a sunny afterhour morning at Berlin’s Bar25 or maybe just memories of how good those old electro-disco Legowelt tracks were.

On “Murder Room” Paul delivers a groovy dancefloor murder track, an adventure room full of little sounds to brainwash ravers.

Last but not least “Lo Fighters” is an unreleased Shadow Dancer song from 1999, classic pre-millenium electro with a robot vocoder voice that motivates, the perfect song to close this ep in new classic electro feel. Electro 2011 let’s go!

This is a hot project with hit potential written all over it. The remixes rage from Funky Electro House to Dubstep, running between72 to 128 bpm. "Back 2 the Future - the classics from 1999-2003 remixed" includes 19 brandnew remixes of seven Cosmic Gate classics, taken from their first two album releases. Remixers like Markus Schulz, Arty, Wippenberg, Rank 1, Alexander Popov, Robbie Rivera Daniel Kandi, to mention just a few, revitalized those 8-10 years old tracks and brought them back on the worldwide dancefloors.

During the last two months, Nic and Bossi gave us already a foretaste of this highly praised album by releasing five singles, such as "Exploration Of Space", "Back To Earth", "The Drums", "Fire Wire" and "Raging" in a two week interval exclusivly on Beatport. Since Beatport honored Nero with “Best Dubstep Act” in the 2010 Beatport Music Awards, things have been relatively quiet for Nero. Lucky that quiet time is over as Nero returns to the front of the pack with this solid dubstep number featuring the vocals of Alana. We’re sure you’ll be hearing this in mix sets until the middle of the year.

Junior Sanchez has been at the forefront of the electro fused house music scene since electro was really “electro”, and has shown no signs of stopping his quest to infuse 80s synthesizers in modern cuts. His latest opus, “Weee! (Play Da Rave)” for Laidback Luke’s Mixmash imprint is more banging goodness made to test the limits of the bassbins. Remix action from Sandro Silva compliments the original, and shows how to make a track really kick when blasted through properly tuned speakers.

Spencer & Hill may very well have a crossover hit on their hands with their latest release, “Yeah Yeah Yeah”. Blending the best elements of progressive house melodies, electro house bass buzz and catchy vocals, “Yeah Yeah Yeah” is a perfect floor-rocking tune for the biggest rooms. An additional remix from rising stars Ron Vellow and Steff Da Campo help boost this release into the stratosphere, providing a much more stripped down and bouncy interpretation.
