For our 31st release on Remote Area we welcome David Labeij and ONNO, two Amsterdam talents whove joined creative forces for the first time ever! With their studios only 2 minutes away from each other, theyve been up and down the Hartenstraat (Heart St) in Amsterdam to perfect this EP, hence the dedication:

David Labeij is internationally recognised as one half of Polder but his solo productions have caused a huge stir soaring between hypnotic deep house and delicate techno. Hes pumped out a heap of thumping tunes this year on Intacto and Remote Area, this time however hes hooked up with Amsterdams brightest new star ONNO. Although to be honest, ONNO's been shining bright for quite a while with full support from the DJ likes of Dubfire and performances already taking him to Sensation White, Mysteryland Dance Valley and at club hotspots in Barcelona, Moscow, Miami... However he feels that 2010 was his big breakthrough on the world stage and who are we to argue were just happy he walked down the Heart Street to mash out these amazing tunes with David Labeij.

I WANT MY MP3: There was a time when I want my own TV were the buzzwords, but this track brings current needs up to speed with I want my MP3. Beats trip the light fantastic across a chaotic space of jazz tints BUT its the nostalgic recording about old school production days that puts the emotion in this guaranteed dance motion.

PUSHING BUTTONS: Upbeat percussive bounce meshes with a ricocheting bass to give you an upbeat party tune thats just bursting with cheeky sound snippets burst. It pushes our buttons what about yours?

STILL STALKING: Vocal snippets tear and snag across a thumping bassline propelling you to the grittier side of techhouse club life.

With Terminal M celebrating their 10th Anniversary, and with the label riding high off the back of their superb 'Ten Years Love' EP's, it seems only fitting that their next release should come from their boss and figurehead, Monika Kruse.

"Wave Dancer" finds Monika returning to a previously unreleased original, stripping it down, and reconstructing as a very simple, wonderfully warped, and super effective DJ tool, in the form of her 'Do You Have Balls' Edit.

To remix "Wave Dancer", Monika has teamed up with her long time friend, Thomas Schumacher. Together the pair take a techier approach. Metronomic beats and synth line, overlay the originals pulsing bassline, and together with its spring-loaded breakdown create a most hypnotic take on the original.

Closing the release is the already much hyped remix from Pig & Dan. Matching the hypnotism of the previous mix, the duo unleash their steel drums, which usher in a swarm-like bassy synth. Having already featured on compilations for WIRE and Loveparade, Pig & Dan's remix is already a firm dancefloor favourite, and proves that the boys most defintely 'have the balls'!

Christian Smith’s Tronic label draws it’s 2010 singles release schedule to a close with a special EP from Christian’s longtime studio collaborator, John Selway.

The release features two brand new Selway productions 'Interplanetary Express and Nightside' that showcase Selway in full on tech house sleaze mode. Also included here is the previously unreleased Smith & Selway Dub of Countenance; a warm and fuzzy ride through shimmering melodies and spacious beats that closes out this heavy weight end of year package in fine style.

Elektrodrei are back! After a long break, Elektrodrei are jumping out of the plane again, landing in the house of Ostwind and bringing a new friend and artist with them. Now the trio is perfect and ready to show where their way will take them. The 'Parashooter EP' is a little journey through time with many stopovers in musical genres, but still keeping its feet on the ground.

The 'Minimal Trash Art' Remix of 'Mathias Korr', with an enormous warmth, interfuses the sunrays of the horizon and lifts the airstreams in our minds to let us start flowingflowing over forests and lakes, flowing over mountains and valleys, flowing over meadows and grasslands and lets us dream of past times.

'Dropzone' comes easy and breezy but is increasingly captured by gusts of wind, barely under control, till the valley of hope shows which way to go so a soft landing full of charm will be inevitable.

'Cloudbusting' is an electro deep techno groover like A1 at Lloyds... searching for the borders of our madness, the track slowly and irresistibly sneaks in our souls, packing it just to discharge on the dancefloor. A wunderful cooperation between classic electronic beats and modern contemporary techno.

Ed Davenport is the next artist to have his say on Len Faki's Figure SPC imprint, taking his distinctive slant on late night body music into a new personal dimension.

Stretching out over 10 minutes, 'Take Heart' throbs like a first love, dizzy on pheromones and the promise of knee-trembling basement action. Fellow UK-import-to-Berlin Mama provides the telling vocal message.

On the flip, Ed's 'Weird Organ' is a straight up floor-troubling weapon - dark, taut and bristling with malevolent energy. Perhaps his heaviest moment to date!?

Talented London based producers Bearweasel contribute their 'Lazy Dub' as a digital-only bonus. More of a predatory deep lesson, its sinister intentions are hidden behind cut-up treatments of Mama's vocal.

Roomba Music is the label of Reset Robot. Having released a string of well-received tracks on key labels including Sci+Tec, 100% Pure, Drumcode, Soma Records, Traum; Roomba provides an additional outlet for Reset Robot material and that his of like-minded producers.

You will know Archie Hamilton if you were a regulars at London’s infamous T-Bar venue. The then resident DJ has spread his wings to run Moscow Records and release tracks on Bullet Train and Uberbeat.

'Jaques This' sets the tone for this 3-track EP with its ‘new-school meets old-school’ styling in full effect as pacey rhythms and jazzy stabs combining with sampled chants to form a bumping groove.

'You Had To Be There' treads a more otherworldly path; going for a full-force, heads-down hypnotic ride through relentless rolling percussion and disorientating echo-laden female vocal samples.

'Autumn Kicks' is the deepest of the three cuts on the EP with lush harmonic tones dominating the piece while the tribal feel of the EP is retained with swaying rhythms and inter-weaved vocal refrains.
