With his Pattern Repeat releases and a clutch of 12"s on his own Baum Records label Dennis Bøg aka Resoe has made an impression on the DubTech scene. Backed by a chilling Sigha remix, he drops the rugged undulations of 'Minus & Plus', never quite settling into 4/4 but keeping the swing and roll simmering with loosely synced dub chords while 'Demoon' is more of a straight-up digital Dub tune in the vein of Andreas Tilliander or Echologist. If you've got a 'floor to put into submission we reckon the Sigha remix will come in very handy.

Introducing Jos Lieferink, amateur astronomer and electronic musician from The Hague. Since the mid 1970s Phochos has been dabbling with organs and synthesizers, releasing an incredible number of CDs and tapes on his own Orion records label. Phochos has long been a treasured secret, hidden from the general public in a maze of porch housing. Secretely admired by the West Coast cognoscenti, who finally decided to share him with the world, 'cause music, like, wants to be free, you know! Interface Phrase 1 is a deep Dutch techno banger, very much in the style of old Ross 154. Glaciers is a classic ambient Phochos track from the early 2000's. Released on limited edtion icy cold clear vinyl.

Having made an impact with his ‘Rootz’ EP (DS001), label chief Marc Antona once again steps up, this time joined by Italian duo, Re-Up. Antona, having honed his talents on releases for Mobilee, Highgrade and his own previous label Micro-Fibres, has launched Dissonant as a new, fresh platform for his solo and collaboration productions.

Leo & Omar Omv, aka Re-UP, first came to prominence under their OEL&Polygon guise. Since 2007, the pair have released on labels including Uponyou, Ostwind and Regular, and in 2009 launched their very own Kina Music Imprint. Their style of deep, rhythmic techno with a housey touch brought them to the attention of Marc who, signed their ‘We Lost The Flight’ EP to Micro-Fibres.

Today Dissonant brings them once again, on the ‘The Owl EP’ Both cuts once again demonstrate Marc’s renowned skill for creating the most distinctive of grooves. ‘The Owl’, like its namesake, sits in the shadows. Its deep, dubby bassline lazily rolls along, as our Franco-Italian alliance layer their percussive elements. String stabs usher in the smooth-keyed break, before that weighty bass drops back in.

On the flip, ‘Txarco’ brings a sinister, somewhat industrial brand of funk, provided brilliantly by its growling, predatory bassline. As scything sounds, breathy vocals, and a variety of drums rolls lunge from the darkness, and fade just as quickly, we are constantly guarded by our bassline protector.

The 10th edition of the House Masters series is honoured to host the Amsterdam residing, French ‘King Of The Beats’ DJ Gregory. Having already featured once on House Masters alongside his French compatriot and musical collaborator Julien Jabre, it was felt that, with such an awesome level of high quality output throughout the years, it was time to revisit DJ Gregory for a solo outing and there was more than enough content to fill this volume.
