Junior Sanchez has been at the forefront of the electro fused house music scene since electro was really “electro”, and has shown no signs of stopping his quest to infuse 80s synthesizers in modern cuts. His latest opus, “Weee! (Play Da Rave)” for Laidback Luke’s Mixmash imprint is more banging goodness made to test the limits of the bassbins. Remix action from Sandro Silva compliments the original, and shows how to make a track really kick when blasted through properly tuned speakers.

Spencer & Hill may very well have a crossover hit on their hands with their latest release, “Yeah Yeah Yeah”. Blending the best elements of progressive house melodies, electro house bass buzz and catchy vocals, “Yeah Yeah Yeah” is a perfect floor-rocking tune for the biggest rooms. An additional remix from rising stars Ron Vellow and Steff Da Campo help boost this release into the stratosphere, providing a much more stripped down and bouncy interpretation.

Discovering new talent is what we are all about here at Unearthed Records, and this EP we are proud to bring you by Silence Groove, is a prime example of that. The first track Shiny Snow is a groovy little number with gentle melodies reminiscent of snowflakes falling.

The flip side is entitled Bryozoans and packs a punch. With some stellar percussion, a mesmerising bassline, epic pad lines and an addictive main riff, Bryozoans is a track ready to set the dance floor alight.

Stealth is starting 2011 with a cool recording from Rene Amesz & Jasper Clash called Tabimo. The track is already big in Roger Sanchez' sets and is quite tribal, techy and underground. Sudbeat boss Hernan Cattaneo once again teams up with his countrymen Soundexile on the label's first release of what promises to be a successful 2011. Oliverio & Baunder join forces with Hernan having already featured alongside him on 2009's "The Remixes EP" and this year's "Cripsis", as well as on the remix of M.O.D.E.'s "Circles".

Today sees the trio revisit and re-edit "Teleport", a track that in its original form, featured on Hernan's most recent edition of Renaissance's "Masters Series". Backing the refreshed original is a remix package that contains experience and youth. UK producer King Unique, fresh from the success of his Bedrock releases, "2000 Suns" and "Vamoosh" (alongside Anthony Pappa), turns "Teleport" into a groove-lead, low-slung tech-house cut.

Chopping the original's melody, King Unique allows to break up, but never take over the groove of the track. The final two remixes on the package come courtesy of competition winners. Given the parts to what with then as they wish, and judged by Hernan himself, each winner was given the honor of seeing their mix, included on the release. David Granha takes keeps "Teleport" on a tough, but melodic, progressive path. Whereas Victoria R, hits us with a wall of sound and rib-shaking kick drum.

Open Records is proud to first release for the year, a wicked remix package of New Zealand masters Fiord’s 'Scratching The Sides'.

2010 was a defining year in Open Records history, firmly establishing us as a name to watch on the international scene with a string of Beatport chart successes and strong support from Radio and DJs across the globe.

Our first showing in 2011 forms a link between Open Records biggest and most successful release yet, Expansion Pack, and our next full length compilation Depth Perception, released in February.

First up on remix duties is Germany’s Ryan Halifax, delivering a storming, bass-heavy rework. Selected by label DJs Paul Abad and Solatek to feature on Depth Perception, the track has already picked up some heavyweight supports and looks to be one of the big hits of the Aussie festival summer.

Rounding out the release is Israeli producer Sheff, with his deepest and most intelligent remix yet. With big support on his prior releases on Open, including names like Umek, Christian Cambas, Misstress Barbara and Piatto, Sheff is fast establishing himself as one of this years most exciting names in techno.

With plenty more big releases on the way, we look forward to an exciting year at Open Records and think this is the perfect way to get us started!

Hot on the heels of The Unit, Harvey McKay follows up with the subterranean Substanz Underground single. The EP is named after a little after-hours warehouse in Glasgows Southside district, where he along with many of Glasgows burgeoning DJs and artists play on a regular basis. Substanz Underground, a venue that hosts many of Glasgows after-parties from Slams Pressure night to various others across an electronic city, is an incredibly important aspect of Glasgows music scene; one that Harvey pays his respects to.

B Class warms gradually, with clanking mechanical sounds and textures providing the back-bone percussion to the track, while fuzzy and raw hi-hats solidify the underground feel. These sounds appear on the arrival of a wonderfully balmy chord that glides in with ease. Upbeat but delicate is the air on the number.

Next up is Jon Virtues take on the McKay 'B Class' original. Another Glaswegian, Virtue is most certainly familiar with the ambiance of Substanz. Notching the pace up somewhat, he keeps it dark and deep, but retains the groove of the original, working the vocal cut in amongst the chords and some heavy and distorted bass to give the track a little more energy and drive. Jon Virtue is definitely one to keep an eye on from the ever growing Glasgow Techno scene.

Mind Frame delves back to the roots and influences of Harveys musical career. Stripped, yet highly effective, Mind Frame captures a feel for these gatherings perfectly. Sub-heavy bass and an incredible, old-school hook leap from the speakers, while straight and upbeat percussion bash their way through. Again McKay retains groove and swing, but sticks to his own unique sound and style.

Harvey steps up to his best game on this EP and highlights what matters to him when it comes to his own productions; no-messing Techno.

One of the talents found in 2010 - Myk Bee teamed up with Solar State to bring you an uplifting bomb on our label Silent Shore Records. Their first collaboration "Feeding Dreams" is just as the name describes - Emotional, energetic and powerful enough to feed your dreams. Release comes with remixes by Type 41 and Jective.

Original Mix drags your attention right fro the beginning with its flow. Build up drives you smoothly to the breakdown unleashing a teasing melody making your dreams come true. Just close your eyes, raise your hands and fly with it!

Type 41 chose his favourite way of remixing. Powerful flow with energetic sounds right from the first beat. Guitar riff added in the breakdown only improves the euphoric feeling of the original.

Jective on the other hand brings you a truly beautiful progressive and groovy trancer. Piano and strings in the breakdown give his remix almost a fairy tail feeling. Really impressive job by this Argentinian producer.

DJ/Producer Johan Gielen presents his brand new single on our Magik Muzik imprint, entitled "Jonko".

Definitely a club stomper with a capital C, "Jonko" is one of those hot cuts that seems to be made for the prime time DJ sets in packed clubs and crowded big rooms. Johan's new views on less trance and more of the state of the art house and club sounds comes perfectly together in this production. The funky beat programming sets a lovely pace and the bass line definitely adds some Latin touches to the track. Once the urging sweep sets in, you know it's going to be party on the dance floor; exactly the moment that everyone knows what "Jonko" refers to.

The remix package was delivered by Folsh & Lanza and Ad Brown, Matt Lange & Kerry Leva. Folsh & Lanza decided to put some thick and rubbery techno in the original; Ad Brown, Matt Lange & Kerry Leva reworked the whole thing into a bouncy club track. From the very first beats that kick in, it is clear that we're dealing with an absolute club slammer. The more or less frantic synth programming makes it impossible to sit still when the DJ puts this one on. Of course we should not forget the vocals by Alena Lvova, since she manages to add an enticing erotic tension to the entire production; something that for certain club and house DJs will only be a perfect thing to know when they're behind the decks at a hot and crowded club set. Most of the true club heads will be thrilled by the many sweeps that feature in "Falling 2011", 'cause it's exactly that little detail that turns the whole night into one big party. And the older cats might hear something from the very early house parties in it as well.

Both the Re-Zone and Dub Makers remix approach the original version from a completely different angle and rebuilt the entire production for the trance and even the progressive dance floors. Superb remake!

Sean Truby is the next producer to make the step up from our Infrasonic Future imprint with the classy Now Or Never. Known for his tougher style of trance which has become a permanent fixture on labels such as Spinnin, the uber talented producer supplies something a little different this time round, with a warmer, club friendly track, showcasing his versatility.

Heading the package, and making his debut on Infrasonic is Dan Stone. After one of his best years to date which featured a number of sensational original tracks and remixes, Dan starts 2011 as he means to go on in, with another top notch re-work packed full of quality. Similiar in style to Crafted which dropped last year with its lovely perc's and bass pattern, this is trance at its very best!

Infrasonic favourites Parka keep up their impressive run of remixes with another superb outing, while newcomers Abstract Vision & Elite Electronic add their own unique twist on things with a big, bass driven take, one of which will sit perfectly in a trance or progressive set.

A massive debut from a guy set to blow up in 2011!

Tucandeo continue their hot streak with another outstanding original in the shape of Only We Know. After picking up support from every trance Dj the world over in recent months, the guys deliver some of their finest work to date, with a super sweet, vocal bomb!

Making his return to Infrasonic, and heading the package is Estiva. Once again the Dutchman supplies a re-work that sits perfectly within the trance and progressive divide, making this another hugely versatile track for Djs and producers alike. More big room material from a producer who continues to supply the industry with outstanding quality!

American producer Passive Progressive completes the package with a silky, house orientated take that oozes class, and really showcases Jennifer's beautiful vocal work.

We welcome Ryan Davis, an artist who should have released with us a long time ago, since his music is very close to what Traum has released over the period of 12 years.

Ryan is great musician and totally dedicated to the melodic side of dance music, with compositional skill and courage that is rare in dance music today.

Ryan has recorded for various labels but keeps a low profile for himself which makes him a true candidate for Traum also in the future.

The opening track Roads is a track of sheer extravagance. It combines different musical genres in in a very skillful way and makes an unmistakable statement towards an artistic composition.

You will find so many influences going on here that it is hard to pin down weather it is a romantic or cinematic track or even a strong club epic.

It works on all levels and that is a quality Ryan Davis has cultivated over a long period.

Lush and deep passages alternate with energetic ones, using hi tech technology to make it a firework or rather a serpentine of delicate stunts altogether.

Loophole is wise enough to dedicate itself to a more track like piece of music.

But please do not make judgements too quick... in the course of its development it attracts colourful, melodic elements and takes them in to a never-ending beat.

Step by step Ryan Davis adds long-armed synth stretches and the lushness of fragile electronic music.

Sideways, the third track is by far the most free minded spirit on the release.

Again equally beautifully crafted and refurbished to feel fresh and new as all of these tracks... Davis here suggest rather than dedicates images that seem to drown in a see of sound.

This includes slow motion or stand still passages and a general fantastic approach rather than a club head turner.

Roland M. Dill’s remix is bassline monster of a muscular beat track that puts him next to artists such as Radioslave & Dettmann. New Traum artist from the UK Morris Cowan has taken on Sideways and instantly felt he could do a interpretation it in his style. The result is a tight new interpretation based on an arrangement which takes in the coolness of dub step but also pays tribute to the seriousness of the original.

We think Morris Cowan has done great and have signed him for a full length album on Traum’s new imprint Zaubernuss!

Our latest recruit Adrian Wojcik aka A.R.D.I. debuts with a beautiful melodic uplifting trancer entitled 'Landscape'. Lovely vocal samples intertwining here and there, blissful piano work and quite a highly energetic drop that just booms with energy. What more can be needed in a trance tune?!

On remix duties we have Timo Pralle joining three Harmonic Breeze favorites, Second Way, Vol Deeman and Sara Pollino sealing the deal on this package. Second Way translate the original into their own club orientated progressive style while keeping the melodic essence of the tune. Timo Pralle slows things down a bit with his 'soft-lifting' take. While label favorite Vol Deeman delivers a truly banging and phenomenal remix as usual. Last but not least, the diva of chillout comes along taking things on a whole other level, something more than perfect for relaxing your senses.
