A huge package to start off the new year! David Flores aka Audio Injection drops his 1st EP on Sleaze with 2 killer tracks. His deep, dark & powerful style was perfectly demonstrated with his excellent remixes of Hans Bouffmyhre & Morgan Tomas on Sleaze last year. David has been making waves in the global techno scene, with big releases & remixes on CLR, Electric Deluxe & Droid over the past year.

We welcome back Par Grindvik for the first remix. His ‘Head Version’ of Toggle reminds us of his amazing productions from a few years ago, when we first fell in love with his sound! Next up is our good friend Perc, who has been on fire of late with his ‘Antifunk / Purple’ release on CLR and recently provided a mix for the world famous Resident Advisor podcast! Label boss Hans Bouffmyhre rounds up the EP with his interpretation of Cant Believe. Look out for Hans’ debut artist album on Harthouse later this month!

Freaks follow up their release, Right Now featuring Robert Owens with another exciting single on Rebirth. This time Luke Solomon and Justin Harris team up with Diz aka 012 to reinterpret the Womack & Womack classic !

In the words of Freaks, “We first started recording this record around 6 years ago. Originally to a live drum track. The track started off as a straight cover, then eventually was stripped down and remixed effectively. Diz used to stay with us quite a bit in London and around the time that we first recorded the vocals we had been listening to a lot of Funkadelic, The Style Council and this. Diz started singing it in the car and we just decided to record it for fun. It just seemed to work so well, probably because Diz really understood the soul of the track and captured it in the delivery of his vocals. We then added some backing vox and stripped that back and ended up with this version... The album, “Conscience”, that we took it from, is one of our all time faves”

The one and only Henrik Schwarz also serves up a strong remix and dub with his trademark warm sound, piano, synth and acid bassline! Magic and epic at the same time... From Germany Johnny D reworks the song with his special groove and vibe !

Already tried and tested by Gilles Peterson in the last month... this is a another monster tune from the Freaks stable.

Amam Extra, the digital imprint of Amam Records, continues its Manifesto series with a third installment, showcasing a spectrum of club sounds from label owner Alessio Mereu and his entourage of producers from Italy and beyond, featuring five new, exclusive tracks.

New to the Amam crew is Doomwork, although he's already gained notoriety for his work on Area Remote and 100% Pure. ‘La Rhythmique’ is based on playful rhythmic exploration with old-school house organ, and stuttering vocal outbursts, perfect for upbeat moments on the dancefloor. Then, Matteo Spedicati teams up with Vito Cacciapaglia (of the trio Sinc) for a darker excursion: ‘Breakfast In Mumbai’ is like a tribal house omelette with a side of with a side of atmospheric chanting.

Going deeper, Jorge Savoretti, best known for his affiliation with Esperanza, remixes ‘Atletico’ from Slash Label co-founder Pherox. This is one of those tracks seems innocent at first, but will seduce any fan of dub techno into its grooves without them realizing it. Next on our mini-compilation is Hooved (Time Has Changed Records), changes things up with a sleazy, sweaty electro low-rider titled ‘Long Night’. Finally, the modest Mr. Mereu (or is he saving the best for last?) offers ‘The Mall’, a vibrant house cut that juxtaposes wild, clanging percussion with a sly melody, pure and classy in accordance with Amam’s mission statement.
