His inspirational mixing skills and eclectic record choice contributed to his individual, trailblazing style witch puts him in the same barn with all key players in the founding and development of the national and international elctronic scene.

Sascha Dive, the German producer/DJ and proprietor of the Deep Vibes label, takes on one of the top songs from Matthew’s Black City album in proper stretched out, hypnotic fashion.

Dear and Dive had been running into each other on the road and in 2008 Dear included a remix by Dive on his Body Language compilation on Get Physical. The Sascha Dive remix is a 20+ minute piece of dada house, trading in coherency for black hole groove and using vocals as rhythmic engines of disorientation.

For the DJs who don’t have an 8 hour set, you can opt for the dub version which shortens the mix by half, but doesnĺt forsake itĺs propulsive energy.

Taster Peter aka Pietro Marsili, former drummer of the Italian band "Taster's Choice" has successfully collaborating lately with artist such as Umek, Marco Bailey and Oliver Koletzki.

We have been in touch with him for a while, so we are proud to finalize a release with him.

The 3 track vinyl EP is a real techno stormer.

Opening with a piece of euphoric madness named "Skatebored" that has Trapez go peak time.

This is not about Berlin modernism but about hi frequency techno at its best. Call it a roller skating anthem or a force from the past, call it nostalgic or cliché, you cannot get away with making Taster Peter a compliment for this hysteric tour de force. There are classic things which we find here... so for example it is all about catchy leads, a massacre of vocals and a storming break... but this all it needs to make it a big DJ weapon. And... to give one more comment on it... it is a hell of fun.

Well Porno Totale is not bad either and can be defined as a techno avalanche, a rush of energy par excellence! Keeping things simple and focusing once again on that all important groove and these catchy chords that keep adrenalin pumping... it seems to be just the right answer to Skatebored.

We must state here... we have not heard anything like this since Dave Clarke´s Red 1... and it sure makes techno minimalism look old in the mix.

No one less than Samuel L Session was asked to remix Porno Totale and this really completes the package. Samuel L Session is certainly a person who has all the experience to mix pumping basslines and has the jack going through the track. This mix keeps the nice retro touch but adds some warmth to it as well as giving it it bit more of a personal touch.

A digitally bonus mix comes by Peter Horrevorts who delivers here a super catchy DJ tool!

Focussing on funky tech house he is so famous for... he adds a musical direction which has not been attempted by the other artists on this release. Well done!

Get Physical proceeds to hit 2011 running with Full Body Workout Vol. 7. The anticipated collection draws on the series tradition of bringing together up-and-comers, old friends, debutantes and intriguing collaborations in one unmisable package. The ten tracks of Full Body Workout Vol. 7 add even more colour, perspective and texture to the Get Physical sound, and, as always, every track invites you to move. Berlin veteran Holger Zilske bursts out of the gate with Baby Got Me Open; riding a groove of sleek late-night house, a heavy bass workout ensues, with a rising tide of soulful vocals, industrial percussion and ambient pads.

Fellow Berliner Martin Dawson aka King Roc asks What The Fuck, via an ominous, pulsating slow tempo. His throbbing electronic tones evoke violets and deep blues, as the slow burning, double-stepping arrangement shifts incrementally up and down, for an irresistibly hypnotic effect. Collaborators SIOPIS and Mr. Brean join forces again for the bass-driven monster Dog or Dusta, and its measured rhythm track is permeated by floating, reverbed keys that filter light in through the cracks and edges. A distorted vocal refrain shifts things sideways, over whirring sounds and faraway percussion, melding into a loose funk workout of keys, kick and percussion. The transcontinental pairing of Germany's Bjorn Wilke and Philadelphian Someone Else draws on both of their long histories, striking a balance in a classic tech house framework thats surrounded by wispy ambient pads and rhythmic shafts of melody.

Deep, liquid bass tones are counteracted by skittering metallic sounds and neon flares with youngblood Javier Logares Proyecto Lazer. Perpetual heady string samples plus unpredictable sounds from below carry the track aloft with a quirky combination of darkness and light. Get Physical regular Jona serves up a tight groove with Silver, featuring a patchworked weave of electro-disco bass and chirping melodic accents. Miguel Toro & Aregenis Brito construct a tribal sketchwork of cut-up voices and brief melodic snatches with Sweet Sopt; tiny sounds appear and retract, over a buoyant minimal beat and a sunken, smeared vocal sample.

Pele's My Boogie is similarly rhythm-heavy, with its distinctive tom-tom loop leading the syncopated progression towards an amalgamation with lilting keys. Newcomer Israel Sunshines offering, Pickles offers unpredictable, snaky organ melodies and major key brightness over handclaps, surprise drum rolls and an ebb-and-flow bass, while Findling & Lihab close out the collection with Shaft of Sunlight, deep and hypnotic tech house thats punctuated by brilliant rays of gleaming melody. Taking in the best of the familiar, the fresh, and the unexpected, Full Body Workout Vol. 7 is the perfect kick-start to Get Physical's ninth year at the forefront of electronic music.

3 years after the release of Vol. 1 with groundbreaking tracks from Namito (‘City Of Gods’), Oliver Koletzki (‘Technica Salsa’), Lutzenkirchen (‘My Girldfriends Girl’), Swen Weber (‘Samba De Bochum’) it’s now time for the second edition of Great Carnival Stuff. All tracks are produced especially and exclusively for this compilation and combine the artists’ own interpretation of carnival with their respective trademark grooves.

AS we have seen many times before, Steve Lawler's VIVa MUSiC has become a breeding ground for exciting and talented new producers. The latest find is Benjamin Engelberg aka, BNZO.

Hailing from San Diego, the young producer is one of a stream of up and coming artists, bubbling under right now in the United States. With just the one release under his belt to date, his remix of NDKj's "8 Reasons" on Heatflow, BNZO is set for a career changing moment with the release of his 3 track EP on VIVa, set for release in January 2011.

Having regularly played "Panda" on his recent tour of the US, label chief Lawler invited BNZO to submit more material for a debut EP. "El Chupacabra", "Laduma" and "Panda" are a collection of super strong tech-house weapons. Heavy on the bass, excellent percussion and perfectly placed vocal samples throughout, make this triumphant trio a must have or your record box.

On this the final 12 inch installment from dOP’s critically acclaimed debut album Greatest Hits, everyones favorite trio of merry pranksters bring their carnival cabaret to a dark and twisted end.

Opener No More Daddy sets menacing heavy handed piano against plunging rave up synth stabs as the back drop to the kind of twisted lyricism that only Jaw can deliver. Talk Show continues the proceedings with a sexed up puddin on the ritz alike lounge groover with clarinets and horns sweeping across the stereo field and the ghost of Art Blakey holding down the backbeat.

Continuing their tradition of enlisting only the creme de la crème of remixers, Innervisions darlings Âme turn in a late night epic take on No More Daddy filled with the slow burning tension only they are capable of. Slow jam U R closes the release in fine style with a slice of orchestral exotica perfectly crafted to takes its rightful place as the main theme in John Carpenters next Caribbean horror flick. Heres hoping the next album isnt too far away.

Deepgroove! Say no more. Ace. Honoured to have them aboard. VVWI have been fans a long time and Lee and Grayson are, as usual, chaps of distinction whose qualities precede them wheresoever they may tread. Their tread is firm and purposeful like the mighty tiger, as is this stonking groover. When announcing Deepgroove would be releasing with us, the office erupted into a small mexican wave and at least one person shouted "About bloody time!". They were swiftly dismissed for insubordination.

Rolling Techno that goes all weird... it couldn't be more VVWI if it tried. Which we feel it did. Our evil leader Tim Sheridan turns in what he does best. Live drumming loops and keyboards with persuasive grooves, somehow always managing to find melody in the mess and going well overboard on the orchestration for a head spinning sonic attempt at a kaleidoscope of the ears. His dub doesn't fuck about. All the drive of his other version but with all the frills removed for added dance bother.

New to VVWI are our latest young turks. Discovered at club institution Back to Basics, "The Gentlemen's Club" are an offshoot of the production duo of Craig West and Mundros formally known as Hotsand. We expect to hear a lot more of Gentlemen's Club and our office Ouija board predicts a tall dark future will enter their lives. They turn in the deepest creature in this fluid... and as we've always said... no fish swims too deep in our aquarium. Man the bell jar, put your backs into the air pumps and check the valves on your brass diving helmet...

We're going in... Officially voted by the office as our best release yet... for your kind consideration.

For the first release in 2011, Gregor Tresher and Break New Soil are happy to present two of the new faces in Swedish Techno: Patrick Siech & Per Hammar. 

Right after the success of his massive “Crude EP” on Adam Beyer´s famous Drumcode imprint, Patrick comes up with the title track “Dome” - and boy what a follow-up it is! Over ten minutes he keeps the tension high, teases us with the raw force of “Dome” over just a few little kick-drum pauses until the track goes through the roof in on hell of a break!

On the flip we have “Hot Mess”, another primetime weapon, and this one Patrick produced together with Per Hammar, who made a name for himself with releases on Great Stuff, Starlight and Kant over the last year, but it was especially his track “El Salvador” on Mija Recordings a few months ago that introduced Per to a bigger audience, causing quite a stir on dancefloors worldwide!

This is what we think Techno should sound like in 2011.

With his debut release on Highgrade, “Never End”, artist and producer Andri has already proven his sense for captivating rhythms and driving beats. It is no accident that the Swiss producer spent his childhood swinging the drumsticks and is now bringing his enthusiasm for those beats to the dancefloor. Andri is known well beyond the borders of his native Switzerland for his energetic and sweaty live performances, which always include new tracks for the floor.

With his live sets he aims to encourage more than just wiggling movement – he tries to incite the Party Freak, to inspire a “technoid mind state” where people want to dance like crazy, all night long! As he says himself: “The people on the dancefloor should be able to experience the story of my sets and completely forget themselves. ”But Andri is not attempting to be a hyper intellectual sound director, and while his sets and tracks are carefully composed, they also retain a sense of humour. This is the case with his new Highgrade release: “Up Lantis”.

The three tracks - “Up Lantis”, “Come to Me” and “Mr. Groove” skillfully play with original samples, crackling beats and sexy basslines. They develop a very unique field of tension, punctuated with a lot of fun filled Andri trademarks: This is the dictation of groove.
