According to this, there is only one thing to say about his sound: pushing, Detroit-infected techno with a particular, timeless dub note. Josh's both tracks are called "Uptime" and "Distance", maddening us and making the dancefloor seem to be endlessly.

Who's been to Gerberei in Schwerin once, will know where Josh got his sense for this great sound from. Josh, welcome on the deck of our sailing boat and thanx for this wonderful record.

With summer already here, the sun frying our bodies, the cristal clear water shines thru our eyes, a duo consisting of three Rumanian's, comes to our attention; Istra Tec, Cosmin Dias and Julian Hruza. Filled with old-school balearic riffs, mashed-up with cool energy that even makes the romantic sunsets down at the beach seem like something passe, is what this Rumanian duo is all about.

There is no doubt that this duo works hard as they simultaneously line up tones of live projects and events back in their hometown Iasi. As Bucharest is known for its heavy productions of never-ending summer hit tortures no wonder this duo needs to be in the forefront of the music scene back home.

With this being said we are proud to present to you the Clemens EP: whereas in one hand you get 'Clemens' that provides you with upbeat vibes, flowing smoothly with a synthetic lead piano riff while on the other, you get an amazing guitar track in 'Guibass', that is supported with thunder drums to seal the deal.

This week we stumble upon a geometrical form of music transposed with the help of Istra Tec & Cosmin Dias to a comprehensible delight. Vincenzo certainly needs no introduction as one of the Dessous and Poker Flat camp's central artists. Now he's gearing up to release his next full-length album in 2011, the first single to be featured is the breathtaking 'The Clearing'.

Beautifully warm and overflowing with atmosphere, this anthemic modern ode to introspective moments on the dancefloor swirls and builds with incredible depth and clarity. Like opening the door to a secret garden full of wonders, this powerful moment of positivity sends unifying waves through clubland. The equally special Dub version works the groove further with a straighter edge and an even later night theme emerges through the blissed out wash of chords and subtle harmonies.

Veteran producer Ian Pooley is enjoying a comeback of late with his classic soulful house sound once again brought back to the floors. His stunning remix pays tribute to all the power and emotion of the original, while cutting up some old-school flavours and laying down that classic Pooley key-led funk.

Having already provided Tania Vulcano and Tato's Isgud Records with two of their 2010 highlights, Ibiza based Italian, Tuccillo is set to kick things off for the label in 2011 with yet another fantastic EP.

Having announced the start of the 2010 summer season with his "Laptoploops" EP, a smash throughout the Ibiza opening weekend, and far beyond. And, increased the heat in the final weeks with his excellent double header of "Samantha" and "Red Sake".

Tuccillo returns to Isgud with yet more sun-tinged goodies to warm our well-frozen dancin' shoes. His "Shell Obsession" EP sees Tuccillo looking to his past, with an array of influences all playing key rolls in each of tracks. "C'mon Babe" has us sweating along with its garage bassline, whilst "Gold Curtain" delivers equally as big and groovy a helping of bass, backed by its wickedly twisted acid line.

The third and final track, "Salty Shell" is again treated to a deliciously funky bassline, underlain with a cheeky popping riff throughout. Yet another unique selection of house cuts from one of the most exciting and inventive producers of today. We just can't wait to see what the rest of 2011 has in store...

Sierra Sam and Dame-Music chief Bloody Mary are certainly no strangers; the two French-speaking Berliners have been long-time friends both in and outside of the studio, Sam having co-produced Mary’s debut album and her recent Arabesque EP (DAME-004). Now, after his 2010 EPs and remixes for labels like Supplement Facts, BPitch Control and Time Has Changed, Sierra Sam rings in the new year with an evolution of his sound, an elevated sense of melodic exploration, on the Queen of Spades EP.

After his massive club hit "Wildfang", Oliver Schories strikes back, with a promo we received some days ago. Indeed, his next masterpiece will be released on Parquet Recordings in January, incl. the incredible singles "Tremodo" and "Low Memory" and a hypnotic monster remix by Douglas Greed (Freude Am Tanzen / Infine / Dekadent). The label managed by Solee, we interviewed some weeks ago, informed us to watch out also for new releases in 2011 coming from Boss Axis, Takt Tick (incl. Egostereo Remix), Sivesgaard (incl. Ricardo Tobar & Oliver Schories remix), new singles by himself and a massive remix by Egostereo from his track "Legends", and a new "Re:Cognition - by Solee" compilation, to be released on his own label Parquet Recordings.

Having been influenced by those various styles within the last decade of DJ‘ing, 1982 born Oliver has today a huge musical background which he uses for his productions as well as for his DJ-Sets. They are always unique. With releases on “Ostwind Records“, “Parquet Recordings” and “Musik gewinnt Freunde”, Hamburg-based Oliver Schories finally found his home in 2010 after years of experimenting with different electronic music styles like Drum n‘ Bass, 2Step and New Rave Electronica. More productions from Oliver are coming up, such as a remix for Klugermann (voltage musique 034), a re-edit for Pablo Bolivar (elevation recordings) and a remix for Taktmodul (tanztrieb tonträger).

Whether it’s behind the turntables or in the Studio, Oliver likes versatile, techno infused tracks with room for deep elements as well as pure dancefloor work. His style is warm and subtle but at the same time very energetic.

The first track “Tremodo” follows this trend, with a dark atmosphere and some samples of water drops. The track, of about 10 minutes, is also composed of a sweet female vocal that fits at the end with a lovely piano. Then “Low memory”, in its original version, begins with a night atmosphere. You can hear for instance some sounds of crickets such as dark voice that give a positive vibe to the tune quite funky!

The EP concludes with the best track of this trio. Indeed, the remix of Douglas Greed mixes perfectly a funky ambiance with a minimal and techno spirit that will make you dance… inevitably.

Laufmasche got snorked again and so he provided another 3 snorky tracks.

"Fuck zhe Postmoderne" and "The abstract" for the 12" and "Go for it" as additional digital track.

The "Foreign Funk EP" is a big follow up release for his last Relax2000 one, the Walk + Turn e.p. Laufmasche is known for his progressive and straight techno for Snork, Relax2000 or Vitaminima Records!

Mallory Records back with a great new release. SeHou is the artist! "Less Than You" has a fantastic groove and the filters reminiscent purely filtered house sound, repetitive and funny vocal samples, evidenced by the beautiful remix by Lemos. "Player" is more groovy, a good rhythm together with vocal samples and deep sounds. Yes this is an amazing fuckin release. The dancefloor had been waiting for it!

The Polish live act and producer Piotr Bejnar developed into a true local hero over the past few years. His live performances fizz with energy. He may be the only musician in the world who handles a groovebox like an electric guitar after this release he might afford to take it to another level and destroy his equipment at the end of his gigs. Like a host of German television described Kraftwerk in 1978 "... maybe one should call it... electronic rock!"

"Buja Beja" is a cool track creating a strange atmosphere. Minimalist Techhouse mutates to a deep number with some unconventional instruments. Through the variable arrangement and the multidimensional fragmented melody this composition develops perfectly.

The syncoped track "Pijany Mistrz" represents a peculiar symbiosis between Deep House and Detroit. Again the different phases of the arrangement that continuously change the focus, draw the attention. While first taking place at a House club, the next minute the track switches to Techno-mode and vice versa.

Splish splash... and off it goes into cold Techhouse waters!... But "Tensions" doesn't just lap along unimportantly. Piotr Bejnar has succeeded here in creating an interesting piece of stereo-insanity. The track moves through different rooms and keeps the attentive listener in tension - this is no easy fare, but a club-number for the clear headed!

Emill de Moreu & Danito is the poject of two good friends, the first with Spanish latino blood and caramba accent when he speaks German, the second is the talented and amusing brain, they both together convert pasion and technic in their conception of music.

Luke Slater’s Mote-Evolver label rounds off an impressive 2010 and starts 2011 by passing into record label maturity with a 21st release. As is fitting for such a landmark release, the forever-progressive Slater has plucked a special release from the ether that will impress and intrigue followers of Mote’s approach to undergroundtechno.

Shrouded in anonymity, Shifted's productions are fuelled by a personal passion for techno. This four-track EP for Mote-Evolver represents an earnest expression of creativity from an enigmatic artist; freed from the restrictions of expectation and reputation.

Opening up with the kind of sparsely constructed but highly incendiary deep- space-techno that has characterized much of Moteʼs recent output, Drained is a thumping bass-driven ride through sinister moods and scratchy sounding effects.

Polaron brings an abrasive feel to the release, contrasting with the deeper moods found elsewhere on the EP, as heavy beats and mechanical percussion provide momentum while resounding chimes and shrill stabs add frenetic drama.

Futuristic and hypnotic, Bound combines the pacey dynamism of snappy rhythms with mesmerizing atmospheric loops which weave together to create a shifting melody; oscillating subtly against a backdrop of relentless percussion.

Junk appears as a digital only bonus. Tense and brooding, this pulsing, stripped back epic is centered on bleeping melodic lines and echoing chimes that fade in and out like distant code transmissions lost amongst the surrounding sonic hum.

Matt Star is known for his many productions on labels such as Cocoon Recordings or International Freakshow. His track offers us a sense of hius sensitivity and is a beautifully constructed minimal track which has already been playlisted by the likes of Laurent Garnier, 2000 And One and many others. This track provides us with the foundation color of this release.

As for Tom Clark, his remix of the track is one of finesse and elegance. Known as the boss of Highgrade Records and a fully repented producer, Tom as has more than one trick up his sleeve when it comes to offering a dancefloor version of any track. This one is for all you minimal lovers out there.

For the first time on Fantastic Friends Recordings, we welcome Alejandro Vivanco, who we have become used to hearing on labels such as Cadenza and most recently on Session Deluxe. This Chilean producer tackles percussion and arrangements like the finest producers out there and serves us this amazing tribal remix, which makes for an authentic and welcoming dancefloor killer.

Mendo incredible remix of the the track will have you straight on your feet. Having already remixed Green Tea on our latest EP, a remix which was highly acclaimed by DJs around the world, Mendo produces a shuddering tech house slam dunk of a track, with a punchy and pumping disco bass line, made to send you only one place: the dancefloor.

Finally and to finish with beauty, Darkmaze, a Parisian duo made up of Phil Dark and Gwen Maze. Their housy remix is made for groove lovers. The reworked voice, affected by a beautiful reverb, keeps us suspended to this charismatic track that will seduce more than one of you.
