Appearing on labels such as Yosthitoshi, Mark Knight’s Toolroom and Anjunadeep itself with his remix of Boom Jinx & Andrew Bayer’s ‘To The Six’, Matt Lange has been fast rising to prominence with his deep, detailed and intense sound.

Beginning 2011 with his first solo EP on Anjunadeep, the US-based producer opens with the aptly titled ‘A Deeper Shade’. Sonically complex and perfectly produced, ‘A Deeper Shade’ progresses through an upbeat rolling tech groove and weaves in hypnotic electronic textures that add a melodic, but melancholic vibe.

A more minimal and twitchy affair, ‘Other Stories’ is another haunting tech beast where rhythmic intricacy is key. Building to a crescendo of epic chords on the breakdown, the track releases back into a gripping groove as layers of proggy haunting melodies add both depth and detail to the track.
