Loco Records Supreme wishes to present an American producer Kev Obrien, who's decided to release his latest single "Sometimes I Wonder" on the label and delivered two splendid versions of the title track including a remix by Till Von Sein himself. Kevin is undoubtedly one of those people who live, eat and breathe electronic music. As an avid lover of dance music for nearly fifteen years, Kev has built his life around the music he loves, and has dedicated the better portion of it to throwing quality events, DJing and most recently producing.
After relocating from Florida to New York, Kev hasn't looked back since. Nearly a decade of experience in the industry has equipped him with the tools and confidence to instantly make an impact in one of the toughest and most saturated scenes in the world - the concrete jungles of New York City. 2010 has been a pivotal year for Kev, with his productions on Deep Vein Audio and Tolerant Recordings reaching the record boxes of the world's elite; gaining massive support from tastemakers such as John Digweed, Nic Fanciulli, Laurent Garnier, Armin Van Buuren, Timo Maas, Milton Jackson and many many more. His biggest release to date, "Valentines and 909s", hit number 2 on Juno's Deep House and Tech House charts, as well as number 20 onBeatport's Deep House top 100.
Released in May 2010, "Valentines and 909s" has seen radio plays on John Digweed's 2010 BBC Essential Mix, as well as his Transitions show [6/11/2010 and 6/18/2010] (Wiretappeur guest mix), Nic Fanciulli's "Worldwide Sounds", Solomun's "Diynamic Sessions", X-Press 2 Ministry of Sound radio, as well as frequent plays on Ibiza global, Ministry of Sound radio, and many more. Also charted onBeatportby John Digweed, Reboot, Estroe and Pleasurekraft. With several new original and remix projects in the works for 2011, the stage has been set and his time to shine is now.
Till Von Sein, whose amazing remix appears on the single, is the master of arrogance, mostly because he rocks crispy white tee's with catchy slogans for two or three uses tops and then throws them away. That's the way he's been trying to keep things real in Berlin. In the studio, Till Von Sein was a force in 2009 putting out soulful and pop infused Berlin sounding tech house collaborating with Catz 'n Dogz, Tigerskin and Chopstick. His Sundowna Release on Supplement Facts was one the most frequently discussed 12 - inches in spring 2010 and as he promised there would be even more great releases still to come.
Early support:
Hector Romero, Ben Watt, Brothers’ Vibe, Liapin, Sasse, The Timewriter, John Digweed, Osunlade, Nick Warren, Catz n Dogz, Varoslav, Hernan Cattaneo, Alex Niggemann, Groove Armada, Master-H, Dave DK.
