Christian Smith's Tronic had an incredibly strong 2010. With the likes of Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig, Marco Bailey and Psycatron all cropping up alongside Smith himself, it was the sort of vintage that truly deserves an end-of-year-roundup-comp.

Kicking off with Smith's celebrated remix of Carl Craig's seminal 'At Les', Tronic Treatment 2011 is no shrinking violet - quite apt for a label that pushes a stream of big room tech-edged house and muscular techno without any dips in quality.

From 'At Les' onwards, we're treated to material from rising stars Wehbba, Dimitri Nakov and Psycatron alongside established veterans like John Selway, Marco Bailey and Samuel L. Session. While textures and tones change the energy never drops, which is as damn near a perfect summation of Tronic one could get.

With forthcoming material from a wealth of talent old and new, Tronic looks set to continue its quality output throughout 2011 - just dont miss out on this fine retrospective/introduction.
