NY based M A N I K has already produced quite a stir in recent months with much praised releases on Four Twenty, Ovum and more. Now it’s time for him to have his say on Poker Flat with this three tracker full of acidic, twisted machine funk.

On a rather introspective tip, lead cut ,Pure Liquid‘ opens it to a filtered, slightly sinister synth story that slowly develops and grows over 7 minutes of supremely arranged nu-acid. Liquid sounds for the next generation....

‚What Is Who‘ builds a dry, reduced acidic soundtrack to heavy nights past, present and future. Surely inspired by some of those classic Bug productions from the label‘s early days, M A N I K adds a fresh faced edge with daring fills and light-hearted breaks.

The rousing bassline-led funk of ‚Good 4 Me‘ brings a fresh new edge to M A N I K‘s sound. Rooted in Miami bass and classic Detroit electro, the edgy track takes this sound into the 21st century with its atmospheric synth and vocal elements, coupled with tight studio sheen.
