Lower East is a three way project combining the efforts of three artists rising from the depths of the East London music scene, Kanio, Lee Brinx and Cozzy D. Between them we have had releases on the likes of Trapez, Noir, Welt, 1traxx and I-Fi Music to name but a few. In addition to being a platform for their own music, their ethos is simple - good quality electronic music that we all like!

Each following release will be monthly and programmed in much the same way.

For the first release, 'Tease' by Cozzy D (LOW001) Cozzy creates a deep driving groove, with warm chords and and a catchy vocal sample. The package also includes a remix by Italian producers UGLH & Federico Locchi. These guys have had a string of beatport top 10's recently with sucessful tracks on the likes of 8bit and Noir, as well as their own label, Caramella. Rounding off the thie package is 'Way We Used To' also by Cozzy, a gorgeous deep house track, with old skool style vocals, a rolling groove and bassline to keep any floor full.

Following the hugely successful 'Solaris' release alongside Geddes, Mic Newman makes his Tsuba solo debut with the 'Not Enough Sleep' EP. Mic has carved out an EP of trippy, groovy and hook laden house music demonstrating a very bright future for this young Australian producer. Fans of Soul Clap will enjoy this EP! Mic has previously released for 8 Bit & Freerange. This releases comes in a PVC sleeve.

Brood Audio is starting the New Year with a bang with a relentless Techno EP by label boss, Erphun himself. 2 driving, dark and menacing records for you here, which the titles explain perfectly! For the first time on remix duties, we proudly bring you two of the top and most respected underground Techno producers today!

Roman Gertz from Ukraine delivers a peak time monster on Brood1, adding his signature hypnotic synths and atmosphere.

Having a recent successful release on Drumcode and numerous other respectable labels and label owner himself, Sasha Carassi is definitely a name that is instantly recognizable. His take on Brood2 is more of a deeper and dubbier interpretation of the original, which is fused with his unique and sophisticated percussion work, Enjoy!

We all know how much love we have for Mama, but its about to expand to a higher level with this remix pack! Blacktron's rework of Stefano Noferini's precious is just as techy as we like it from Blacktron himself, with that perfect continuous drive. A&F, Leonardo Gonnelli and The Henchmen take care of satisfying the needs of all whom cant get enough of this!

Right until the moment you turn this track on, you realize how much we've missed these kind of massive house tracks! A steady and morphing production with, as the title suggests, an exceptional and uplifting vocal by Angie Brown. Area One anthem coming up!

Rae the artist that it seems every house producer worth their salt wants to work with at the moment both pens the lyrics and provides the stunning vocals for Studio Apartment's beats. Alongside the storming original David Penn provides a typically heavyweight set of remixes with a firm, rolling bassline underpinning Rae's sensuously uplifting vocal. Thrown in a dub and you've got one hell of a serious package.

Since Beatport honored Nero with “Best Dubstep Act” in the 2010 Beatport Music Awards, things have been relatively quiet for Nero. Lucky that quiet time is over as Nero returns to the front of the pack with this solid dubstep number featuring the vocals of Alana. We’re sure you’ll be hearing this in mix sets until the middle of the year.
