Poker Flat pull in the reigns once again with the 8th installment of their legendary compliation series. To celebrate, a double pack vinyl release accompanies the CD, which also features a stunning mix by Jay Tripwire.

Being the boss it’s only fair he kicks things off, as Steve Bug's 'A Shot In The Dark' begins the fun on A1. Of course its a high-class trippy affair full of classic Bug shenanigans. Awesome synth hooks and captivating drums spiral almost out of control!

Making his mark on the DJ mix, Jay Tripwire also contributes a very special new track, featuring the wonderful vocals of Katerine Larr. 'Find Me' stands out as a further reminder of the producer's edge in the modern house scene.

Irish legend Donnacha Costello contributes 'Hey, Dummy', a great follow up to his recent album on Poker Flat: 'Before We Say Goodbye'. This solid track is founded in Donnacha's deep acidic traditions, and injects some subtle touches of melody into the mix.

Patrick Chardronnet's dramatic and summery 'Birds On Strings' raising the tension. Well known for his tense, timely arrangements, he hands in a future classic that has had us all in raptures. Tried and tested!

French scenester D'Julz just refuses to back down, and so we hear in 'Get Down'; its a hot natured party track with a great timeless house atmosphere, packed in to a fresh and modern party killer!

Finally Dutch techno-boy Benny Rodrigues provides the ominous 'G'. A great, classic sounding cut that ties together the worlds of Amsterdam's rich techno scene, with the trippier, deeper sound of Berlin.

'Northern Lights' is the year's most anticipated debut studio album in the trance / progressive world, from world no.9 DJ Gareth Emery. It contains ten brand new tracks ranging from big house to full-on trance, including first single 'Sanctuary', which has received huge support from Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Above & Beyond and more, with its official video racking up 250,000 views in its first two weeks.

Some say too many cooks spoil the soup. But to mix the flavours and aromas of British producers Ali Wilson, Matt Smallwood and Tristan Ingram, makes up for a dish that'll get everyone in queue. Stand correct, as their 'Perfect Sunrise', 'Koko' and new track 'Miasma' offer you the perfect menu for dancefloor mayhem.

After the maddening 'Koko', the three of them revert to their approved recipe for success once more. Twitching a little pinch of house and adding all the main flavours of deep techno, while combining it with a mixture of progressive sounds and a scintillating, hymnal break. That's Ali Wilson, Matt Smallwood, Triston Ingram and their 'Miasma' - bass-driven, twisted, uplifting but deep and melodic - exactly the way we like it.

Following on from Axwell's summer anthem 'Nothing But Love' Axtone records refuse to rest on their laurels, following up swiftly with a release welcoming new names to the label in the shape of Pacha Ibiza Resident, Matt Caseli & Danny Freakazoid (CR2).

Borrowing heavily from Terence Trent D'arby's enduring hit from the 80s, the duo's re-vision has been a mainstay in Axwell's sets since the Winter Music Conference and has become one of the anthems at the Swedish House Mafia's Masquerade Motel this summer at Pacha, Ibiza.

Sebastian Krieg & Roman F.'s remix completes the package with their progressive interpretation.

Early DJ support has been extensive with plays from the likes of Eric Morillo, David Guetta, Roger Sanchez, Bob Sinclar, David Tort & Mark Knight.

At a relatively young age Tony has already released productions and remixes on the likes of Cr2, Toolroom, Joia, Sharkarts and Drop It Records…

Tony began his career in dance music at the tender age of 15. Winning several DJ competitions, he soon developed a reputation for his pioneering style that could undoubtedly animate the dance floors.

From this experience as a DJ, Tony understood what works best on the dance floors and wanted to take this awareness a step further… with production. His distinctive style unites elements of electro, funk and tech house with commercial influences, giving his music the scope to satisfy the underground while reaching a wider audience across other dance music genres.

It is difficult to describe Tony's career, as he has managed to achieve so much in such a short space of time. There is a strong belief amongst the people who know Tony best that this is a long-awaited and well deserved success from an intense amount of hard work that he has committed to following his passion. Tony is an incredible DJ and producer with already some excellent tracks in his discography. With countless projects currently in the pipeline, Tony Gomez is one to keep you eyes on!

Kris Menace is a true legend of electronic music, with the likes of ‘Discopolis’ under his discographic belt, it was only a matter of time before he turned out a release suitable for this iconic imprint. Kicking off proceedings is the powerful and euphoric ‘Swarm’, with impeccable synth patching and mixing the order of the day, culminating in a crescendo of vast magnitude. ‘Lockhead’, delivered jointly with Douze, has a tougher, techier edged vibe and this provides label boss Steve Angello the parts to drop a slick drum infused edit. With support from Pete Tong already in the bag this is destined for dance floor devastation.

EC87, the latest release from EC records is by Mulder. Mulder is a young talented producer from Holland who did releases and remixes last years on the BlaBla label. Also as a dj/live-act Mulders star is rising really fast. EC Records is really glad Mulder liked the thought to release his tracks on EC, as we did! 'Pleasant people' is a track which is played by Michel de Hey for more than a year already. And the reactions from the audience were awesome every time it was played.

Early support by Dubfire, Karotte, Nick Curly, Anja Schneider, Raresh, Mathias Kaden, Shinedoe, Wally Lopez....

Here at Eklektisch we are still reveling in the success of 002, Pleasurekraft's 'Tarantula'. The biggest selling track of the summer.

Seven weeks straight at #01 on the Beatport download chart, and Top 10 on the same chart for nearly three months. Having been thrust into the spotlight in most dramatic of fashions, its now down our task to build upon this success and we start today by presenting 003...

Who better to lead from the front than our label head himself, Edu Imbernon. Not only the mastermind behind the label, Edu has, over the past eighteen months, been on a steep trajectory to stardom.

Having ram raided the charts in May 2009 with 'El Baile Aleman' his co-production with Coyu, a record that went on to become one of the biggest club hits of the year, the Valencian producer's music has since appeared on an array of the most respected labels, and key compilations.

Today he teams up with the boss of the recently launched Espai Music imprint, Triumph, to deliver the next smash hit for Eklektisch. 'Our Roots' sees the duo heading back to theirs, taking influence from the past and dropping a catchy vocal line that is set to be sung for the rest of the summer.

The first of the remixes sees Dutch producer David Lebeij turn in, what for us, is without doubt one of his finest and funkiest mixes to date. Jack-heavy, with its beefed-up bassline and key stabs, Lebeij's fun is only broken by the unexpected, bonus breakdown towards the end.

Remix two comes from the pairing of Bla Bla Records boss Daniel Sanchez and Mulder. in contrast to the smiley exterior of the Original, this version sees the boys take us on a deeper, moodier trip. Purring bass, crisp bongo's and atmospheric synths make this a perfect version to close another fantastic release.
