Oliver P aka Stonevalley really came into his own during 2010 with a succession of stellar originals and remixes winning support from the cream of the trance fraternity.

Kicking off 2011 with Alcatraz, Oliver doesn't look like stopping that trend anytime soon. Delivering another breathtaking 'pure' trancer, Alcatraz has everything we have come to expect from Stonevalley; gorgeous melodies, pulsing bassline with some beautiful vocal chops and pianos making this another blessed out production.

Enhanced favourites Sequentia turn out their strongest remix to date, adding an extra dose of umph to the proceedings by beefing up the bottom end of the production, whilst their synth work is second to none as usual; expect big things from this duo in 2011.

Angel Ace and Gery Rydell complete the package; Angel push the track into the realms of even higher emotion, and Gery Rydell brings a taste of things to come from him this year with a cool progressive take on the original.

After officially being awarded as the number 15 DJ in the world in the highly respected DJ Mag Top 100 poll, the 'Flying Dutchman' is about to rock the global Trance floors again in 2011. Dutch DJ Dash Berlin is back with a brand new, future classic to add to his hit-filled discography. The debut single from his forthcoming, second artist album is the first glimpse on the exciting things to come.

The epic anthem entitled 'Disarm Yourself' is the result of his fan-anticipated rendezvous with Australian singer Emma Hewitt and contains an inspiring message. "I believe it was President Roosevelt who said; "There is nothing to fear, but fear itself" and that concept is exactly what this song is about", says the humble DJ when asked about the lyrical theme on his latest collaboration. "It's about the anxiety you can feel when you are confronted with the new and the unknown. Sometimes disarming yourself and actually feeling the fear, while doing things anyway, can be the only way forward".

The track premiered on episode 486 of Armin van Buuren's legendary ASOT radio show and immediately caused a major stir all around the web. The preview quickly found its way to the fans via Dash Berlin's Youtube channel and gained a massive 160000 views within days after upload. With an official music video on its way Dash Berlin's eagerly awaited, brand new single is here to warm your soul and to get you on your dancing feet once again.

Discover Records start 2011 with a bang as Tom Colontonio returns to the label with this excellent release.

Since Tom's last outing with the label he has kept busy with superb releases on labels including Spinnin and Vandit together with a hectic DJ schedule.

Here Tom once again successfully combines both power and melody to bring you this full on peak time trancer.

On remix duty we have one of John Askews favourite new producers, Vol Deeman who delivers a superb remix to launch a series of planned releases with Discover.

Sometimes it takes more than one mastermind to create something big. The double release 'Aftersun' and 'I Killed The Love' is a perfect example for that. The tracks were written by Belgian duo Nash & Pepper, known for their outstanding blend of soulful progressive beats and heartrending vocal-lines. They handed these jewels to a bunch of highly talented producers, to give their own interpretation of 'Aftersun' or 'I Killed The Love'. The outcome now appears on Armada Music's Soundpiercing imprint.

Convincing in various production styles under a number of aliases, it's British producer Mike Foyle who builds tension on his two remixes of 'Aftersun'. Both the 'New Moon Remix' and 'Full Moon Remix', are night-black dark-trancers that offer you deep synths, a constant drive and a catchy melody. Still progressive but kicking in with a little more euphoric feel, is Mike's rework of 'I Killed The Love'. He made good use of Dutch singer Guy Swinnen's vocal, making his version a true stand-out.

Canadian mastermind Arnej balances deep, dark prog and high, tempting trance till the very last beat. His rework of 'I Killed The Love' is another flawless example of what the perfect peak-time prog-trance ride. Last but not least, Duncan Kaye & The Mystic Force transformed 'I Killed The Love' into a moving prog-trancer, washed down with tingling synth-lines.

The Italian producers scored big time when they released their album "Biogenesis" and it was about time to see the title track as a single. So it happened and finally all DJs across the globe can add this beauty to their track list. Get ready for a high BPM trance slammer with a certain, say frantic, undertone. The beats are tight and crisp and are supported by a rough bass line that seems to chase everyone on the dance floor, but once we hit the break, a luscious jungle of damp bass sweeps, smooth synths and strings gives way to regain some strength again. "Biogenesis" then continues with just a bit more power and certainly the audience will scream "Tune"!

The Scot Project and Amex remix both put their trademark stamp on the original and offer two brand new renditions. Amex for the clubby/progressive sets, Scot Project for a more techy DJ performance. Just make sure to check 'em out and before you know it "Biogenesis" finds its way to your CD case!

It's been a while but First State is back with a new single entitled "Reverie", featuring the vocals of the great Sarah Howells. Released on our Magik Muzik label.

"Reverie" is of course a track from First State's most recent album "Changing Lanes" and had long been on the list of favourites of many fans. Now finally with this release First State returns to the original version and delivers his own Pounding Club Mix which indeed has rougher beats and an edgier sound; still keeping the strength of the album version. When the break sets in with lovely classic piano we get to enjoy the touching vocals of Sarah Howells, moving towards a lovely climax layered with smooth strings. It is one of those dance floor hits that makes everybody to sing along while they're moving their feet.

Jeziel Quintela, Jquintel, & Manufactured Superstars stayed close to the original but made sure to add an irresistible club feel to it. "Reverie" will sound like a dream for the party people in the clubs!

Niklas Harding & Kris O'Neil work together on their new single "Swingers Club", released on the Black Hole imprint.

"Swingers Club" is a refreshing but ever so rough, high energy tech trancer. Pounding drums and an infectiously repetitive bassline create a firm basis for a definitive floor filler. By the time we reach the break, the boys give us a smooth and typical deep trance break with lovely synths and strings, but beware because after the climax the track hammers on with full force. A perfect track for when you plan on playing an old skool fast paced tech set.

Marc Simz was asked to work his magic on the original version and it would be only fair to tell you: brace yourself, 'cause Marc's remix is hard, banging and adds some extra techno for the ones that like it rough on the dance floor. "Swingers Club" by Niklas Harding & Kris O'Neil will work at every crowded event!

Determination is the key, especially when time is running out. Fans of American producer Thomas Datt and Dutch mastermind Robert Nickson had to wait 4 years for the follow-up of their 2006 collab 'Tabla Mizma'. Several solo-productions, remixes and gigs later, they now present 'Godless'. And trust us, it was worth the wait!

'Godless' shines out in sound, creating goose bumps all over.

Its deep-running melody, gently built up and mesmerizing in the breakdown, is backed up by an addictive vocal flow. All the right clicks, bits, pieces and instruments are in there, representing both significant sounds of its creators. Get ready for something absolutely mind-blowing!

Protoculture got the honour to rework this stunning track and gave it an even stronger big room push.
