After the summer break Safari Electronique are back, with a vengeance. Kicking off proceedings we welcome back label regular and hot property, Antonio de Angelis. Whether under his own name or that of his alias Toni D, Antonio has consistently turned out exciting releases on a number of great labels. 2010 has already seen him release music on Paulatine, Off, Climatic Sound, and he is fresh from his debut 4 track EP on Steve Lawler's VIVa MUSiC.

A key mover on the London party scene, Antonio is now building a strong reputation through his music. His last appearance on Safari was alongside label chief Arnaud Le Texier on June's 'Down Is The New Up' E.P. . We are all aware of his House talents, but today Antonio reveals a darker, more sinister, but oh so welcome side, on 'The Relative Size Of A Planet' E.P.

Three original tracks (Neptune, Two Venus, Dark Mars) from Antonio transport us from the sun filled terraces of previous releases to the equally hot, and undoubtedly more sweaty Berghain'esque floors. This is classic material, created for big systems. On the remix of 'Dark Mars' is Berlin-boy Ed Davenport, who adds his own brand of industrial muscle to the elegantly deep original.

Icelandic legend President Bongo, founding member of Gus Gus, meets up with French Disco Resistance dOP, for a seriously unique clash of musical worlds. The resultig four versions of the same track are at once dark, twisted but also quite light-hearted. And don't forget - I'm Single releases are in short supply, so don't sleep!

Alex Smoke unveils his enigmatic new Wraetlic alias with three remixes of tracks from recent album 'Lux'. Now operating with a new palette of hardware and a greater focus on his own vocals, the Wraetlic sound takes his open-ended style in a logical direction.

From the decaying acid blurts of 'Platitudes' to the matte coldwave textures of 'Master Of Tomorrow' and the Coil-esque queerness of 'Adanoid' this development of his sound has paid of dividends. If you're missing the old Alex Smoke, fear not because he also drops an extended and minimised version of the killer dancefloor tool 'Paracelsus'.

Cadenza herdsman Luciano welcomes another amazing musician to the label s illustrious gang of house producers. Having released a series of striking records on Berlin s Vakant, Tolga's music flows seamlessly into Cadenzas vanguard club sound. Recovering the beauty and charm of its off-key moments, Fidan opens up towards more house related sensibilities.

The Berlin based musician of Turkish origin creates sonic arrangements that are complex yet striking, mazy yet seductive. Opening with 'Slipt It', it s multi-layered grooves crackle like wood burning in a fireplace. The yearning of the string melody develops subtle hit appeal. Tolga pulls us out of this moody autumnal atmosphere with a striking piano hook. Opening up another sonic experience, it enables us to enter a certain level of tranquility; it elicits a deeper level of happiness. Having become part of the absorbing fluxion of this epic record, the pervious grooves of 'Rhythm vs. Me' set our limps in motion. In the depth of the sonic space, a protruding melody proceeds in endless improvisation.

Fusing the madness 70s funk weirdos Funkadelic with the simplicity of contemporary electronics, Tolga explores the intersection of craziness and grace, of weirdness and sweetness. With 'Bass Ass', he switches into a more forthright mode of communication. The pulsating bassline puts us into a trance, the sound of the tom drum is so spacious that it is able to hold the whole dancefloor. The ingenious composition puts the freedom of a detached piano in contrast to the permanence of an organ hook line. The digital bonus 'Shizzle Hearts and Nizzle B' is about those very special moments when the club experience is over for quite some time and yet the grooves are still present in one s mind and body.

The actual experience being gone for hours or days, the sounds are liberated and they develop a life of their own. In only half an hour Tolga manages to take one on a trip through inconceivable sonic spaces and places. Never failing to surprise us with his originality and resourcefulness, he creates a personal yet universal experience. Tracks and heads down techno both represented with aplomb, fans of the imprint can consider Cadenza57 a fitting addition to their collection.

One of the many highlights of Armin van Buuren's 'Mirage' album, is the breath-taking collaboration with UK singer Christian Burns. 'This Light Between Us', a warm and emotional vocal trance track, is the third single off 'Mirage', set to conquer the hearts of global crowds and the dance society.

Strong layers of piano, enchanting strings and flawless vocals by Christian Burns makes this third 'Mirage' weapon of choice an essential theme in the Armin Only - Mirage world tour, travelling to more than 15 cities across 5 different continents. 'This Light Between Us' once again proves that the Dutch DJ/producer, number one DJ in the world in DJ Mag for the fourth year in a row, knows how to send shivers down your spine.

UK singer Christian Burns, who's worked with the likes of Tiësto, David Guetta and BT, originally became known as the lead singer of the hugely successful pop rock band BBMAk. After discovering the vocal side of dance music, he got hooked on the 4 to the floor beat and hasn't looked back since.

'This Light Between Us' has now been extended with a heavy weight remix pack. German duo Dabruck & Klein, known for their excellence in remixing big names such as Axwell, Steve Angello and BT, having a big buzz going on around their 'I've Got My Pride (Hold My Head High)' track, gave the sensitive track a house and electro-driven stir. Their remix fires away with an adrenalin shot of energy, fooling around with Christian's vocals to create a completely different feel to the track.

Richard Durand, not new to remixing Armin's tracks, shows he still hasn't lost his touch. After 'In & Out of Love', he returns with an outstanding remix that perfectly balances emotional sounds with energetic, floor-sweeping stabs. A sure-shot of a highlight remix.

Last, but definitely not least, its very own creator reinvents 'This Light Between Us'. Armin van Buuren presents the longer, more dancefloor friendly 'Great Strings Mix'. Including those same intense and spine-tingling Metropole Orchestra strings, but with a new build-up and smoother flow for peak time moments on the floor.

A package that'll surely set things alight!

The first full artist EP on OFF SPIN comes from AMIR, head of BOUQ records and versatile producer par excellence. Three toolish techy house slammers with tight mixdown, massive sub-basslines, driving grooves and catchy vocals will rock every dancefloor. French house-legend and OFF-regular Chris Carrier is the perfect remixer for this ep and delivers a raw, funky and jacking interpretation.
