Mike Foyle presents Bolt - Buff Monkey / Rascal (SPC082)

Mike Foyle is the UK producer that made classical piano danceable again. Need proof? Listen to his Signalrunners collab 'Love Theme Dusk', the outstanding 'Firefly', 'Pandora' or any of his other versatile blends of style. But there's more to Mike Foyle's trademark sound than piano. He enjoys his odysseys to the darker side of trance, either under his Statica or Bolt alias. For the first time in three years, he now returns to his dark storm Bolt alias, with 'Buff Monkey' and 'Rascal'.

Prog-lovers, be ready for a little celebration. Both tracks await you with feisty, night-black sounds, that surprise you with replay after replay. Multiple styles collide on this EP. While 'Buff Monkey' offers a tight mix of housey beats and playful punches, 'Rascal' is heavier on the trance side, taking you in with moody, deep synths. Both tracks twist and turn, ready to blow the minds of every single clubber the speakers will try moving.

DJ Governor - Shades Of Grey / Pale Memories (ARMD1086)

When asked for a description about his typical sound, Norwegian DJ and producer Ørjan Nilsen explains that all of his sounds reflect himself, the way he feels and thinks. We're obviously dealing with a very interesting person here then, as Ørjan's highly diversified releases have a hard time fitting one single genre. The summer-spirited, guitar-driven 'La Guitarra', rousing housy 'So Long Radio' and his perfect balancing act 'Shoutbox' don't find their home anywhere else but the dancefloor. The more techy and progressive corners of EDM also have the interest of this talent, who's currently working on his debut album. As a result of his style-playground visit, he presents the highly anticipated 'Pale Memories' and 'Shades Of Grey', under his DJ Governer moniker.

This EP is going to make your day, no matter which mood you're in. 'Pale Memories' leans towards pure euphoria and rides ingenious techy elements. Powerful synths and a deep energetic feel are what you'll find on this one. 'Shades Of Grey', on the contrary, is more dramatic, but a pure floor destroyer nonetheless. With its broad range of effects and bold bassline, it'll grab your attention from the very first beat.

Robbie Nelson - Up In Smoke (SUBC018)

Hailing from the UK, sound-creator Robbie Nelson has been writing musical history for over 15 years. His first solo production 'Bolivian Angel 96' saw the light of day in the mid nineties, but what really pushed him to the top were his collaborations with CJ Agnelli. They released one masterpiece after another, using various monikers like Afterburn and A&N Project. The most famous one was their Agnelli & Nelson alias, which still enchants us with classics like 'El Nino' and the tempting Audrey Gallagher collab 'Holding On To Nothing'. While they still resound in our heads, Robbie decided that it was right about time to return to his roots with his latest solo release 'Up In Smoke'!

With his experience, Robbie knows exactly what a true trance fan needs, and therefore it should come as no surprise that his new track lives up to the high expectations. 'Up In Smoke' awaits you with gentle background stings, tingling piano layers and dramatic synth-lines on top of all happenings. A lovely melodic piece that leaves nothing to be desired.

On the flip-side, Dutch DJ and producer Robert Nickson moves the trance loving souls. He added some dramatic tension to 'Up In Smoke', representing nothing but the best in pure uplifting sounds. If you're up for the tighter sounds, you'll have to check the remix of Polish producer Aleksander Stawierej a.k.a. Indecent Noise. His translation breaths progressive depth, without leaving any of the original's atmosphere out.

Shogun feat. Emma Lock - Run To My Rescue (S107039)

American producer Shogun started his tale with the love-ballad of 'Nadia'. The frail but beautiful progressive track kicked off a promising new chapter of his career. It was the first of many stories he had to tell. In the past 12 months, he came up with follow-up 'Save Me', that hit the Beatport Trance chart at number 1, got the people moving to 'Imprisoned' and saw his name rise as 'Come With Me' and 'Star Line' were released. This time, at the turn of 2010-2011, he closes off a successful year with another Emma Lock collab, 'Run To My Rescue'.

'Run To My Rescue' takes you to the darker side of trance and still moves you, long after the very last beat has faded. Shogun's excellent producing work and the soothing voice of Emma come together in another speaker shattering beauty, shining in sound. Trust us, this one will be on your mind for a long time!

The Signum vs. Al-Exander remix, from the hands of the Hagen brothers, rides an energetic, deep drive, balancing trance and progressive. A great extra to this jewel of a track.

Estiva - Festival EP (ENHANCED078)

Dutch prodigy Estiva delivers what will be his final EP for some time, as the focus turns to singles and his long awaited debut album in 2011.

We've been utterly blessed with seven first class EP's from Estiva over the past few years, establishing himself as not only a true favourite at Enhanced, but a key player in today's trance scene winning a long list of A-List fans such as Markus Schulz and touring the globe as a DJ with his unique blend of trance.

The eighth EP from Steven 'Estiva' Baan lands in January, and for those of you living in the southern hemisphere this is perfect, sun drenched trance to put a broad smile on your face in the summer sun; as with all Estiva productions. For those of you residing in a currently colder climate, we suggest you shut your eyes and let the warm swells of synths wash over you whilst you dream of the hotter months!

Leading the EP is Festival - a track that conjures up thoughts and feelings of exactly that setting; feel good trance made for that big room/tent environment. Lotus positions itself as the second track on the EP, and again this is classic Estiva; blissed out melodies, beautiful piano lines, huge synth stabs and his wonderful percussion making this another stand out production. Make A Wish rounds off the release, and yet again it's an absolutely stunning production from the very talented Mr Baan!

Huge stuff once again from Estiva!

Sean Tyas - Banshee (ASOT155)

Armin van Buuren likes to road test his tunes before releasing them on his A State of Trance label. Well, if anyone passed it, it's Sean Tyas. His new tune 'Banshee' didn't only move the 15.000 visitors of the Armin Only - Mirage show, but also got over 70.0000 views on YouTube for the footage of this highlight moment, within a matter of days.

'Banshee' has an electrifying power, driven by the real Sean Tyas sound. A sound known for its energetic, sense-stimulating character, also present in Sean's previous 'Lift', 'Seven Weeks', 'One More Night Out' and remixes for the likes of John O'Callaghan, Gareth Emery, Tiësto and Armin van Buuren. With its powerful spirit, 'Banshee' kicks in with a drive of pure trance synths and intricate layers of kicks, effects and whatever else needed to propel its journey on the many dancefloors it'll hit.

With its release, 'Banshee' brings two very different remixes along. Russian duo Abstract Vision & Elite Electronic provide a cheeky electro-trance driven remix, giving 'Banshee' a real feel-good push. Dutch guys Willem and Ward of the W&W team-up go for a deeper, heavy-bassed translation of this trance beauty, giving 'Bashee' the much-wanted W&W tag.

VA - Kindisch: The Story So Far Mixed by Gavin Herlihy (KDDA001)

Four years in, and, Kindisch has come of age. The junior sibling of Berlin's mighty Get Physical Music, Kindisch German for childish was originally conceived as the home for records of a deeper house and techno persuasion. Kindisch has since matured into a respected imprint with its own unique identity; a consistent purveyor of dancefloor bombs from accomplished producers like DJ T., Jay Haze and Glimpse, and talented newcomers like Matchbox and The Skull.

As with all youngsters, the first few years of Kindisch have passed by in a flash. So to commemorate the story so far, Kindisch have called on one of their finest talents, Gavin Herlihy, to present just some of the labels many highlights. Transitioning in 2006 from a an electronic music journalist into a producer in his own right, Herlihys young career has not made one wrong move. He has notched up releases for some of the defining imprints of contemporary electronic music Cadenza, Leftroom, Cocoon, and of course Kindisch and his mixing skills have been sought out by a long list of taste-making stations and podcasts like Ibiza Voice, Electronic Beats Radio, Carl Cox's Global radio show and Kiss 100.

Now living in Leeds, the Irish-born former resident of London and Berlin is a well-established player on the global DJ circuit, and he guides this mix with an expert hand. The first chapter of The Story So Far begins with the hypnotic chords and smeared Big Bully vocals of Jay Hazes 'Soul In A Bottle', as affecting now as it was on its release in 2006. It progresses into the straight-ahead groove of Einzelkind, the duo who were born in 2006 with the very first Kindisch release, the Introduction EP. Here, Gavin showcases the percussive swing of their 2007 burner Pay 2 Play, before Berlin-based Swede The Skull takes it deeper with Sensuella, and deeper still into the slow Afro house of Noa Sianos recent summer release Kwani. Get Physical label co-founder DJ T. takes the reins, with Try To Understand, from the 2009 EP that followed his opus Inner Speaker with further explorations of the classic house sound.

The minimalistic blues house of Lihab & Findlings spring 2010 hit Stay Down seamlessly paves the way for Track For Lynn, the a-side hit to Noa Sianos Kwani that reveals a stripped back approach, combining classic house structures with a slow-burning tempo and undulating vocal samples. The cut-up acapella track of Meat & Chris Woods tech house stomper Le Beat Nest Pas Triste graces Gavin's own production Opium Haze. It is nestled into middle of the mix, with its burbling, trickling, liquidized sounds evolving into Asiatic pan-pipes and cinematic atmosphere. It builds to a peak with David Keno's Discoteca, the hit of 2009 that struck a chord with filtered treatments and tweaked guitar samples, while Glimpse & Alex Jones show power in numbers, combining their considerable solo talents for True Friends, a stomping track of swollen bass lines and otherworldly vocals. Einzelkind's jazz sampling and tribal beats on Mama Peconha provide a bit of cheeky bounce, and Berlin's Matchbox steps up for his debut effort U Can, before the story ends with a double headed Raz Ohara effort: the melancholic deep pop house of Whitmey Ney and its uplifting Nass aka Geiger Ride Vocal Remix.

By simultaneously celebrating the labels first four years, and a high standard for whats to follow, The Story So Far confirms Kindischs position as one of the most exciting labels in house and techno.

Martin Eyerer - Tiny Little Widgets (BFLP01)

Martin Eyerer is not just a musician; he is a real artist. Martin is a man of action! Ambition, diligence, creativity and perfectionism are his chief characteristics. More than 20 (!) years of experience and well over a hundred (yes, 100) releases or remixes, as well as DJ gigs on every continent on earth this a track record that speaks for itself. In essence, he simply wants to be the best, and this must be the reason for the continuous reinvention of himself.

To just follow trends has never been Eyerer's device. Quite the opposite: he often bucks them entirely! By any measure, this Stuttgart-born artist values his personal taste more than anything else, and very rarely has this taste deceived him: you may trust him on it! With 'Tiny Little Widgets', Martin Eyerer has just finished his second solo album. Two years after the distinctly dancefloor and club-oriented Word of Mouth, once again musical diversity is the main focus for him. With skill and deliberation he manages to find the balance between DJ tools and listening pieces, while always staying true to himself. These tracks are not just geared towards DJs or clubbers, but generally for people with a musically open mind. Tiny Little Widgets represents new territory, both in the experimental and musical sense. To achieve this, Martin has deliberately picked artists from different genres with whom to collaborate. Artists he simply deems worthy. And crucially, where in the past Eyerer rarely incorporated vocals, he now breaks this mould. For example, he was able to work with the Cuban singer America Rodriguez for the song Un Empujon.

The track Good Time got its vocals from Reggea Don. The latters dancehall vibe seems to be skilfully translated into an electronic tune. Then there is another collaboration with Phil Barnes who - according to Eyerer - is one of the best singers he knows. Barnes has already worked with Timo Maas, Paul Oakenfold, Moguai and many more artists and producers that fully underline his performing quality. Especially gratifying and successful is the work with internationally well-known singer Kosheen. Over the last 10 years, Martin has created three remixes for her - and now it was her time to contribute back the other way. By now, the musical breadth of the album should be quite apparent! Of course, other high-ranking artists are also ready to serve as remixers. Equally, it was clear that the project was not going to be based on acts which are hyped currently, but on artists who are appreciated by Martin for their musicality and friendship.

Once again, the impressive list of remix-producers speaks for itself: Thomas Schumacher, Florian Meindl, Tom Clark, Tigerskin, Namito, Sasse vs Phonogenic, Gel Abril, Martin Woerner, Alex Niggemann, Mihalis Safras, Helmut Dubnitzky, Patrick Zigon, and Stephan Hinz. These names, like Martin himself, stand for high quality club sounds and are going to contribute their interpretations of TLW-tracks. We are thrilled about it, and we think you will be too! In the run-up to the albums release it already seems clear Tiny Little Widgets will polarise opinion. There will be some people who are surprised by the vocal tracks, but others will just be amazed by the versatility of this album. Certainly, there will be enough talking points here to discuss for a long time to come! Uniquely this time, the album wont be released on Martin Eyerer's own label, Kling Klong, but on Cologne-based imprint, Blu Fin. This too is another sign of Martin's new approach to his work. Based on the successful and positive collaborations between Blu Fin and Martin Eyerer during the last few months, as well as label head Andrea Engels enthusiasm for the album, there was no doubt that the release should be on Blu Fin. In addition, this will be the first ever album release on Blu Fin, which creates both the potential and the motivation for all involved parties to make the event as special as possible!

A double CD was chosen as the best format: first the album as a whole, secondly a CD containing the remixes. 14 tracks of Eyerer, as well as the remixes, will come out as digital releases. There will also be vinyl record packs with the original and remixed tracks. October 2010 is scheduled to be the month of the release. Simultaneously, the world wide club tour will start. Already confirmed are dates for China, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Australia and, of course, Europe. Starting from now, fans should anticipate the arrival of Martin Eyerer at their favourite club, where they can welcome him and his new master work. It goes without saying that one or two extra-special goodies will be included, too!
