As if they weren’t unstoppable enough on their own, the inspired pairing of Boom Jinx and Andrew Bayer go head to head with the Trifonic duo and Matt Lange to create one of the biggest buzz tracks on Anjunadeep in months – ‘Quadcore’.



Already featured as Record Of The Week on Above & Beyond’s Trance Around The World, ‘Quadcore’ is a crazed crossover beast that takes in elements of electro, tech-house, trance and progressive and unleashes them into a uniquely groovy, bass squelching dancefloor bomb.



With pacey, weaving layers of rippling bass, jittery electro synths and head-spinning sonic trickery, ‘Quadcore’ ramps up to a fierce crescendo before collapsing into a reflective musical breakdown – only to smash back into a suckerpunch of dirty electro squelch. A unique beast that is loaded with ideas and surprise shifts, 'Quadcore' is sure to trample over all sorts of genre barriers and find fans in all corners.



It would take a confident producer to take on such a track and Mau5trap's Steve Duda is certainly that. A collaborator of the mighty Deadmau5, Duda has also worked with renowned artists like industrial pioneers Nine Inch Nails, Rob Zombie and A Perfect Circle. Bringing three decades of production expertise to the ‘Quadcore’ table, Duda’s remix is a respectful rework that keeps the dirty electro groove but adds a beautifully emotive piano melody that is both sombre and optimistic.

Phunk Investigation makes a welcome debut on Beat Therapy Records with banging techno tracks.

Already responsible for an impressive slate of remixes and tracks; Timmy Stewart & John McIver follow releases on Get Physical, VIVa MUSiC and Silicone Souls Darkroom Dubs with two outstanding, uncomplicated and bass-heavy tech house cuts.

The conventional yet colossal, marching tech house drums on 'U Know' neatly support the soulful and spacious vocal. The guys tease tension out of the male voice with a tightly bound sub bass that lurks beneath intricate pounding drums. Despite pushing the track to the edge of sleaze, 'U Knows' piping vocal wraps the track in a warm hypnotic cloth, giving it a perfect sheen of groove, while clean and snappy drums combine with eery dram drops, leaving everything quivering in anticipation at the return of the drums.

With 'The Jam' Jet Project take on an almost ritualistic quality with infectious spliced horns bouncing along between whispering chants and fidgety percussion, full of tech-stepping dexterity.

Evren Ulusoy is on a roll. Besides having featured on the label before with his remix for Sezer Uysal's 'Conventional Fatigue', Evren has recently appeared on labels such as Ready Mix, Nightbirds, Loco and I Records. We're more than thrilled to present you with the first in a series of 4 releases by Evren on the label, each track backed with a wicked remix.

First up is Evren's new single Rhythmate. Driving rhythms and a hypnotic vocal hook is what this track is all about. A dark lead and trumpet halfway through the track complement the groove perfectly, making this an incredible catchy dancefloor monster.

On remix duties someone we have been a fan of for a really long time and are honoured to have on the label. The Timewriter has really outdone himself here, with an immensely hypnotic, rhythm-driven mix that complements the original perfectly.

VIVa MUSiC are proud to welcome two Italian heavyweights to the label. Alex Dolby & Santos have been studio partners for many years, regularly working together as a duo, or assisting each other on their own personal productions.

Having been drawn to music and influenced by the sounds of Sasha, Steve Lawler, Flavio Vecchi and Ricky Montanari, Alex had soon set up his own studio and begun to work tirelessly on production. A chance meeting with Santos, saw the two team up in the studio, and this lead to huge developments in Alex's sound.

Check most DJ's playlists today, and productions from Santos are sure to feature. His brand of driving, muscle-bound and always peaktime tech-house and techno, has seen him become very much, a go-to producer and artist. His releases and remixes for the likes of Saved, Systematic, Tronic and his own Rockets & Ponies imprint (owned together with his Mutant Clan partner Timo Maas), have ruled sets of the biggest names of late.

Together, Dolby & Santos gel perfectly. Alex's brand of melodic and emotional house, matched with with the power and polish of Santos' sound and production, results in dancefloor magic. Today's double-header for VIVa is a prime example.

"Etruria" opens with its galloping beats and wonderful percussion. Its gravelly, throat-clearing vocal sample is genius, and alongside the trumpet line and perfectly places bass filtering, helps to create a blistering production. "Urban Gate" is built completely, and expertly around its huge, dubby bassline. Percussive beats, snare rolls and a twisted vocal add the backbone, to a track that is set to blow many a speaker stack.

VIVa MUSiC return to Exclusive with their new release, and a debut for the Neapolitan duo, Dama. The story of Mauro and Dario is a common one of many a modern producer. Having been bitten by the music bug at an early age, and developed a passion for house and techno through their regular club visits, the pair took to the decks themselves.

Since that moment they have been working DJs, plying their trade on the Italian circuit. Damas first forays into the studio came only last year, yet already the boys have seen their music released on OFF, Duna Rec. and now the mighty VIVa MUSiC.

A three track selection of wonderfully strong tech-house cuts. All showcasing the promising talents of the duo. Creek with its familiar vocal sample, warm bassline and hynotic groove opens the EP, closely followed by the rolling snares and bass of Rio Bravo. The funk-licked groove and Hammond organ riff, then gives way to deep, yet driving vibes of Itrione, their collaboration with close friend, Julio Aguilera.

Nils Penner goes chunky on 'Peanuts EP'.

Wazi Wazi is more and more turning into a musical kaleidoscope of Nils Penner, his earlier EP's have carved an own soundscape onto the deeper dancefloors and turned our label baby into one of the hottest forerunners of Real Deep House in 2010.

In 2011 we start things with 'Peanuts EP', 3 tracks all so different, yet having the dirty tingled mind of a sweaty dancefloor somewhere in the world.

'Peanuts' chugs like a pair of hooters on a hot day in Alabama, with a crescendo of cymbals driving the track to Penner Peakhour level. Where s the tabasco again?

'Rushmore' pays homage to the Motorcity sound of the 60s, layered vocals playfully filling the room, while added strings tear the soul apart, melancholic yet uplifting !

'Help Yourself' takes a stroll into modern Chitown territory with a sample feast of huge proportions, jetting the closing tune into a frenzy of rolling hihats and low-pass filter action.

What an incredible second half of 2010 its been for the Dutch wonder Juventa in the trance world. Winning plaudits across the scene, it's unbelievable to think this guy has recently celebrated his 16th birthday.

Known for his banging 'pure' trance sound, Jordin Post aka Juventa now shows us he's a dab hand at more than one style. This next EP is kicked off with the mighty 'Beauty Catch' - a track made for the dancefloor with its irresistible groove and wonderful techy feel, leading you into the filtered breakdown and a climax that will definitely make any crowd jump!

'Summernight Symphony' follows in the 'progressive' style, but is far more focused on the melodies that we've become associated to with the recent Juventa releases, delivering a truly beautiful, yet groovy trancer.

Added to the release is a more refined, piano laden breakdown version of Beauty Catch.

Truly remarkable stuff once again from this prodigy; expect some massive things from him in 2011!

September 2009 saw Lemos‘ ‘Kalooo EP‘ (BCR001) kick off the Bass Culture journey. Hailing from Athens, the trained pianist, Saxphonist and guitarist, who grew up on a diet of Herbie Hancock, Booka T & The MG’s and John Coltrane, has already seen his music released to great acclaim on labels including Cecille, Welcome To Masomenos, 8Bit, Adult Only, Connaisseur, Safari Electronique, Air London and Resopal Schallware.

As the title suggests his ‘Beat Of This, Beat Of That‘ EP offers up a  variety of sounds, all featuring the elegantly techy edge that we  have come to associate with Lemos.
