Alan Fitzpatrick - Shadows In The Dark Remixes (DC76)

January sees the release of three remixes of tracks taken from Alan Fitzpatrick’s Shadows In The Dark’ album; one of the many highlights of Drumcode’s 2010 release schedule.

Mark Broom, fresh from an amazing 2010 himself, takes on A Small Decline and turns in an uncompromisingly imposing version which pairs and offbeat bass pulse with stripped percussion and moody vocals before an unearthly Reece bassline takes over in the break.

Label boss Adam Beyer and long time collaborator Jesper Dahlback handle Paranoize next, and deliver one of their best collaborative works yet. While nagging bass and rolling percussion do their work its the remixes overlapping effects and toplines which add depth and build seemingly endless tension.

Finally, Gary Beck’s machine-funk interpretation of Gridlock closes the package with an earthy yet widescreen feel which shows why the producer has become a firm favourite with everyone from Francois K to Ben Klock in recent times.

Miss Kittin - All You Need (MOBILEE073)

To start the first mobilee release 2011 in style, we bring you a very special release from a longstanding and highly revered artist in the electronic dance music scene. Having began her career with DJing, Caroline Hervé aka Miss Kittin, showed an amazingly intuitive sense for selecting tracks and quickly developed a huge following, in love with her passionate onstage performances. Combined with her vocal collaborations with long term production partner The Hacker on hits such as 'Frank Sinatra' and '1982', she was quickly propelled into the spotlight. Further collaborations with Felix Da Housecat, Golden Boy and Sven Vath continued her success and confirmed her star billing status.

As well as a completely unique DJ and vocalist, Miss Kittin is also no stranger to the production seat. She released her debut solo artist album 'I Com' in 2004, and her second 'Batbox' in 2008, followed by a second collaboration album with The Hacker. Both of the latter were released on her own record label 'Nobody's Bizzness'.

Her brand new EP for mobilee, 'All You Need', brings her sultry yet punchy vocals back to the floor with a classic electro bassline. With remixes from Lee Van Dowski and Gesaffelstein it's not for the fainthearted. Enjoy!
