One of Italy's top techno producers of the moment, Sasha Carassi drops his debut EP on Sleaze after remixing Flug on SLEAZE035. Sasha has been doing great things this year, with successful releases on Harthouse, 8 Sided Dice, Respekt Recordings, aswell as on his on imprints. Sasha also signed to Drumcode recently and his debut 'Hypercombo EP' was released last month on Adam Beyer's famous label.

This EP is made up of 2 great original tracks 'Genetik and Kromosoma' which have also been remixed by Rich Jones and Ascion.

Dirtybird was founded on quirky ideas and big bottom end. From Claude VonStroke to the Martin Brothers, over the last 6 years the label has released some massive BASS jams with a wide variety of influences. We decided to showcase our BASS and make a full release of this low slung sound. The release includes several classic and some unknown BASS tracks as well as a fresh mashup by James Zabiela of DJ Marky & S.P.Y.’s remix of VonStroke’s “Aundy” and also a gorgeous new DnB style house gem by J. Phlip and Julio Bashmore.

Our little ghetto princess J. Phlip, has been killing it all over the world from Berlin to LA this year. So along with her new track with Julio Bashmore she also made us an exclusive dirtybird BASS mix just for the compilation. Her mixes have been on constant rotation for years, and this is her first official mix release (finally!). Check it.

Little Helpers is a conceptual digital label courtesy of Andrew Rasse (a.k.a. Butane) and Sean O'Neal (a.k.a. Someone Else) launched in December 2009. Each track is a strong, reduced groove-tool aimed to satisfy the increasing number of digital DJs. Much like the traditional lockgroove vinyl, these tracks are suitable for looping, editing and layering. Yet at the same time, each track has enough variation to stand on its own. That is, each tune lies somewhere between a full track and a DJ tool - focusing solely on the rhythm or a singular idea rather than extraneous arrangements.

Audien had a fantastic 2010 and is a name we back to make major waves over the next 12 months with his ultra-cool take on progressive trance.

His next release on Enhanced Progressive again shows why he's so highly regarded at such a young age, with the class and magical touch of someone far beyond his years. Teaming up with friend Griff O'Neill, the pair have created two wonderful productions - firstly the wonderfully groovy Nightfall. With its delightful vocal chops and retro sounding piano lines, this is a very classy, and understated production from the duo.

Daybreak heads to the more peak time of the progressive pigeonhole, with its huge synths and upbeat, uplifting bassline; making this a fantastic double header from Audien & Griff O'Neill to kick off 2011.

He has become one of our biggest artists over the last 4 years such is the consistency, and quality of his work. After a number of huge remixes and original tracks, including Departures which landed last year, Andy Tau has been hard at work with a follow up which has been no easy feat. Going back to his roots, and working the vintage Tau sound we all come to love, the uber talented producer finally supplies a worthy follow up with an absolutely stunning track in By Your Side.

Another one of our standout artists of 2010 Mike Danis supplies remix number one. Now a firm favourite with Dj's and producers alike, Mike once again demonstrates why we have continued to support his music with another action packed production packed full of signature sounds, lovely piano lines and a thumping bass line, which is sure to take the roof off any dance floor!

New comer Lodos completes the package fresh from work on Armada. Still somewhat of an unknown quantity, the Turkish producer gives another taster of what he is capable of with a roof raising debut!

Trance at its very best!

No stranger to Enhanced, Redstar delivers his first release for Digital Society Recordings with the slick uplifter, Universification.

The classic Redstar synths are coupled with the gorgeous piano lines, smooth pads and club-ready basslines and beats. Fresh from their fantastic release with Fisher, Vast Vision deliver the first remix, and introduce shuffley percussion and a huge new lead to really push the track forward. Newcomer Breakthrough takes a far darker approach with techy percussion and acid effects aplenty to cause serious damage on the darker dancefloors.

It's no secret that Sindre Eide possesses a musical understanding far beyond his years - as was so clearly evident when he produced Only When I Sleep at the age of 16, and for his next EP on Enhanced he has applied that musical training to produce something very different from what we have heard from him in the past.

After studying music, he was inspired to incorporate a classical feel into his next work and so set about a three track EP loosely based around the movements in a piano concerto.

The result is three classically tinged productions, but taking their form across the scale of trance, with everything from progressive to tech elements being present in the final work, but all containing a big room sound.

Encompassing three Club and three Original mixes; where Sindre's original piano score in which he based the tracks on can be heard, this really is fantastic stuff from the very talented Norwegian - and has already seen support on ASOT from Armin van Buuren.
