James Silk from Liverpool is part of the new wave of young British House producers which are currently delighting the electronic scene. And boy, is this guy funky! On "Vello", the chords are grooving so wonderfully together with the funky hihats and percussions that its just pure pleasure. Deep, but at the same time perfect for the dancefloor.

The Piercardin remix is just as deep, but adds a little moodyness and melancholy to this housey affair. Were beginning to melt from the very first note. Deep Bros are Black Alley and JiMMi Hendrik, and together they are serving a killer beat with a lot of oldschool Funk in their remix. The chords remain deep, but move forward in a way that takes our breath way. Three creamy House tracks a la Polished Audio - bon appetit!

With each release that goes by, it becomes increasingly obvious that Arty is in a league of his own right now. Following from the euphoric anthem 'The Wonder', the Russian boy wonder's latest Anjunabeats track - 'Zara' - offers another inventive, forward-thinking take on trance and further cements his reputation as the leading light in today's scene.

Noticeably funkier than a lot of today's trance, 'Zara' builds with waves of choppy, electro-charged grooves, before taking us into a characteristically musical breakdown that has been providing a highlight moment in Above & Beyond's recent sets. In 2003, a new prog-trance project arose. Solid Globe, the guise of Nic Vegter and Raz Nitzan, indulged the world with their 'North Pole'. A true club stormer, securing the second position of the Dutch Dance Chart and growing into a real-deal trance classic.

And the story continues. Nearly eight years later, two successful producers reworked 'North Pole' and offer us two tempting new versions of the beloved club anthem. British talent Ben Gold, who hit the scene with his heavily-supported 'Sunstroke', 'Today' and most recent W&W collab 'Breaking The Rules', gave 'North Pole' a tight rework. His style, based on powerful synths and a deep and dark energetic feel, makes a perfect combo with the original's melodic main line.

Italy's finest DJ and producer Giuseppe Ottaviani once again shows he knows his tricks, by creating an outstanding remix of 'North Pole'. He remains on the uplifting edge and expands the main theme with some snare-driven kick-off elements.

EDM artists are multifaceted people. They team up, collaborate, remix and keep on offering us their very own, personal soul-sketches, translated into music. One of the members of the EDM society, is Norwegian DJ and producer Inge Lemon. As one half of the Lemon & Einar K team up, he rocked our speakers with tracks like 'Hope', 'Anticipation' and 'The Oslo Syndrome'. Now, at the turn of 2011, Inge is up for something new. Something of his own, that'll sweep the floor with the same intensity. His debut solo production 'Starchild' has found its home on the beloved Soundpiercing imprint.

'Starchild' is a strangely wonderful dark trancer, blending the undiscovered deep with bleeping tech-related sounds after its break. A bittersweet vocal carries listeners of 'Starchild' to the night black side of trance, without ever losing its spark.

Israeli duo Gofman & Tsukerman added their touch to 'Starchild', making it extra deep and bolt. A vocoded vocal-line guides you all the way down to the powerful conclusion. This one breaths floor-destruction.

After brilliantly re-working Carl Craig's seminal 'At Les' earlier this year Christian Smith, alongside Wehbba, turns his hand to reworking yet another techno classic in Laurent Garnier's 1997 cut 'Flashback' for his Tronic imprint.

Coming in two versions, a '3am Remix' and a 'Remake', the remixes retain the rousing Reese bassline of the original and the pitch shifted vox which made the track so unforgettable, but employ them in different ways.

The '3am Remix' teases the bassline out until dropping it full force into the break eliciting a 'this mix is f*cking brilliant, I LOOOVE IT i will hammer it everywhere LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS' comment from the otherwise understated Laurent Garnier enough said!

The 'Remake' is truer to the original stylistically. Running the bass from the off, toying with low pass filters and a slow burning build, the '3AM Remix' teases the bassline out until dropping it full force into the break.
