VIVa MUSiC return to Exclusive with their new release, and a debut for the Neapolitan duo, Dama. The story of Mauro and Dario is a common one of many a modern producer. Having been bitten by the music bug at an early age, and developed a passion for house and techno through their regular club visits, the pair took to the decks themselves.

Since that moment they have been working DJs, plying their trade on the Italian circuit. Dama's first forays into the studio came only last year, yet already the boys have seen their music released on OFF, Duna Rec. and now the mighty VIVa MUSiC.

A three track selection of wonderfully strong tech-house cuts. All showcasing the promising talents of the duo. Creek with its familiar vocal sample, warm bassline and hynotic groove opens the EP, closely followed by the rolling snares and bass of Rio Bravo. The funk-licked groove and Hammond organ riff, then gives way to deep, yet driving vibes of Itrione, their collaboration with close friend, Julio Aguilera.

Another new name on the VIVa roster, and a strong debut from our new Italian friends.

It seems almost ridiculous to refer to Zoe Xenia as a label regular, when we are only on release number 12. Maybe? But Zoe is without a doubt, one of the our key artists.  Zoe first featured on Bass Culture with her ‘Let The Music Play’ EP in December last year, and whilst it may have been only our 4th release, it was somewhat of a definitive one.

We last welcomed Zoe for her remix of Anonym’s ‘Midnight Groove Sun Express’ back in March, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her back, with her new “In Your Soul” EP.  3 beautifully produced originals that range from the warm grooves of her S Catt mix  of ‘Is It What‘, to the aquatic ping-pong of ‘Higher Ground‘, via the wonderful hip-ripping cultured bass of ‘In Your Soul‘.  Providing the remix on this EP is an artist that we have wanted to work with for some time. Today our wish has been granted, as Frankfurt’s finest, and Deep Vibes label head, Sascha Dive steps up to remix ‘In Your Soul’.

With their new album “The Next Ten Years” Frankfurt based trio Tojami Sessions represent the latest house and tech house music at its best with a lot of references to classic house music. The project, consisting of Michel Niepenberg, Jacek Darnowski and Tom Bucher, was founded by Michel and Jacek in 1992. They always tried to combine all the characteristics of house music. With their releases on raum...musik, Separé, In Between Entertainment and Dessous and as well on Plastic City, they released in the beginning of 2010 the digital EP “Jazzbox” and the digital release “Backup” in spring, they proved their instinct for pure and intelligent tracks . Furthermore their tracks “Music” and “Sun” are featured by the latest episodes of the “Plastic City Radio Show” and “Terry's Café”.

Starting with the track “The Next Ten Years”, Tojami Sessions are diving into a poetic and dreamy deepness they choosed as the main theme of their longplayer. Garnished with soulful vocals singing “Can you feel it” like in “Soul In Me” or classic organ chords like in “Dry Martini” the tracks create a warm and laid-back atmosphere. Additionally the modern beats and percussion sounds give them power and endurance. Detailed rhythm structures like in “One Step” are the perfect instrument to ground the tracks on the dancefloor, the light and clear sound combinations like jazzy pianos, trumpets or the latin influenced melody of “Cock Fights” offer feed for mind and mood. Cimelde welcome a new artist in the family, a guys who promises a lot in the near future that can be heard from his productions, this young talent from Malta is one of the favorited techy producer of Glenn Morrison at the moment and we are sure that will be others aswell. Born in Romania in 1981, Mihai Popoviciu is one of the most talked about newcomers in the House and Techno scene. But to call him a 'newcomer' is a misnomer. Mihai has been releasing quality music for years, on labels such as Gigolo, Level Non Zero, Brise, Diynamic and, of course, Highgrade. Since 2007 he has sworn allegiance to the Highgrade flag, either alone or with production partner Markus Homm. He always has the ability to surprise with his music; tracks produced straight to the point with no unnecessary fluff – just the uninhibited thrill and euphoria of dancing seems to empower his work.

After a busy summer season playing in the clubs of Europe, he is now back to work in the studio. And so comes "Trapped in Brakets" with three brilliant club tracks of outstanding quality, custom made for the dance floor. If you don't believe us you'll have to hear them for yourself... Turn up the volume and close your eyes!

For those who still want more, Mihai Popoviciu will be releasing his debut album in May 2011 on Highgrade Records. Time to get excited and warm up the legs for maximum dance floor effect!

For the first time you will hear Nakion sing a song - like a ghost. Jesu Sufo starts like a dark minimal synth journey, slightly Chris and Cosey, until an amazing synth-led chorus comes in and sheds a light on this haunted song.

Yes, we should've released this before Halloween, but we don't like to be in time. And remixes : it's kind of easy to get remixes for Nakion as the extra-ordinary nature of her music turned many producers into devoted fans.

This was the case with the Milano-based Club Silencio, who recently released an EP on ThisIsNotAnExit and comes up with a great remix between Italo Disco and old-school Piano House. Feadz also told us how impressed he was by Nakion's music, so we asked him to remix Oh Ah! which will be the title track of Nakion's upcoming album.

And we have to say this is probably our favorite remix we heard from him! And finally Hannulelauri, the Finnish duo with the complicated name, responsible for the acidic-disco HIT Super Monkey which was played by everyone this year. This time they took a Hous-ier road with a minimalistic groove that is hard to resist.

Rosie Romero and Kyfu present a brand new single on our Avanti imprint, entitled "Afro Drum".

Adding tribal influences to a dance track always adds a little extra, no matter how you set your production up. "Afro Drum" by Rosie Romero and Kyfu is the perfect example of this notion. The track will serve perfectly on every underground electronic, techno and minimal dance floor. From the very first second that you put this one on, everybody will immediately feel the incredible drive and urge of "Afro Beat". It's most certainly a floor filler, with that hot and sticky bass line deep down in the arrangement.

For his remix, Lance Blaise stripped the original down to its bare essence and poured a haunting sauce over it. The end result is a superb and dark version that is absolutely perfect for a set in the wee small hours of the night, when only the real party people are still present. Ian Round thought differently and for his remix he reworked the original into a hard and almost old skool style techno slammer. "Afro Drum" is a must!

Returning back to Cinematique after his highly acclaimed debut 'Robot Tribe EP' it's French's finest Matthys with dropping a serious mini album.

After the massive feedback on Robot Tribe including the one from his first hour fan James Holden this young talented guy is back with a fully packed new release. 'Happy Blackmail' contains five new tracks with something in it for everyone. The title track is also remixed by no one less then Applescal who has made one of his most crazy productions so far, in a positive way that is. Finally those who have missed the Robot Tribe buzz before, don't worry: it's included on this album again. This release will prove that Matthys is certainly here to stay!
