In dance music’s weekly deluge, there are so many great tracks that don’t hit immediately. It sometimes feels impossible to keep up. But great music always surfaces!

That was the case for Guesthouse Music back in 2009 with Gramophonedzie‘s “Why Don’t You”. A few months after its release, the track finally took off, going all the way to #1 on Beatport’s charts. The spotlight now shining, they cleared the underlying sample, and the tune got picked up for world-wide release by Positiva/EMI.

Late in 2010, Guesthouse label head Jason Sutton, aka DJ Mes, nailed another bomb track with “Wanna Do”, a collab with rising Aussie star Sonny Fodera. This is jackin’ house with a disco flair for the masses.

The Exone 06 will jumpstart the new year with the debut of fresh new talent Justin Nabbs. He's one to watch in '11 and delivers two smart dancefloor groovers with a dash of his secret flavour.

Label owners Exercise One got their hands dirty on one of the tracks, rounding up the release with a deep remix to lighten up the midwinter nights!

With Tiny Little Widgets, Martin Eyerer has just finished his second solo album. Two years after the distinctly dance-floor and club-oriented Word of Mouth, he now comes up with a long player which offers more variety between Dj-tools and listening pieces. Martin has deliberately picked artists from different genres and countries with whom to collaborate on the originals as well as for the remix sessions.

Having already brought us 'Your Move' featuring Sian Kosheen, with its bumper remix pack from Thomas Schumacher, Florian Meindl, Namito and Mihalis Safras, Catweasel is the second single from the album was backed by fantasic remixes from Nicole Moudaber and Paso Music boss, Martin Woerner.

I loved the cool, groovy deep house and tech output that came from Swedish producer Jeff Bennett’s studios some years back. Seriously big tracks in my record box they were. But it’s been a while since I’ve really heard much from him, for one reason or another. Our paths just haven’t crossed.

So thanks to Nathan Coles’ Wiggle label for bringing us a new EP from the man. Myriadz is typically slinky, led by warm, pretty tech stabs and a groovy b-line sequence, with percussion that’s left simple yet plump, with plenty of room to breathe. Well chosen reverbs give the track its sense of atmosphere.

Stix amps things up somewhat, a simple snappy beat allowing various synths to do their bidding. Spooky hollow ones, rasping leads and weird uber-flanging mischievous ones all take their turns over the murky, prog-tinged bass. Shuffling percussion adds a lift to the latter half of the track, and the overall feel is a Sven Väth-esque sense of elec-tech melodrama.

Coles and David Coker team up pon the remix of Stix, giving a simple but effective jacking groove with pitched-down vocals and energy rolling throughout. Just like Wiggle does best.

Chicago’s Tevo Howard has only been releasing music for a few years, but his embrace of his city’s classic sound, combined with his unusually musical touch, has him making waves in the deep house circuit. He lands his latest release on Ben Watt’s iconic (and eccentric) Buzzin’ Fly Records, working with vintage analogue equipment to give his deep, melodic house a gritty warmth.

“The track was written in honor of Ben Watt and Buzzin’ Fly”, says Howard. “I wanted this piece to be a dance-floor sweep, while expressing concrete theoretical musical phrasing and harmony.” “The Age of Compassion” does just that. The original mix is a beatless swirl of clean-lined arpeggios, offering plenty of possibilities for creative mixing; the “House Mix” reworks the contrapuntal themes over crisp drum machines, leaving plenty of breathing room.

It was Watt who came up with the ingenious selection of remixers. Ireland’s Donnacha Costello, founder of the acclaimed imprint Minimise, shows his techno roots with a taut interpretation with looping keys, dark, melodic bass, and a big kick.

Aera, aka Ralf Schmidt, and one of Beatportal’s Artists to Watch for 2011, brings a deeper, more downbeat vibe perfect for slower house sets, with elegant bells and a cool, loping groove.

A label that never disappoints, Buzzin’ Fly continues to push electronic music forward without losing sight of its roots. “The Age of Compassion” is a musical masterpiece with equal appeal on or off the dancefloor.

but after such an amazing feedback and support all over the place, there was no other choice than to get some phat remixes done!

There were not many producers pierre d. could think of to get the job done properly.he wanted some true sound artists who can handle that track in their own specific way.

First we got Andreas Henneberg's remix who really picked up the flow of the original and got his point across by adding his typical rolling tech house flavour to it.

Second we got Patrick Lindsey who drives in a oldschoolish techy way until the middle where he simply goes mad and brings on the pumping beat.

DJ Emerson & Pierre Deutschmann did what they are known best for by just bangin the beats and creating an intense breakdown which will drive any dancefloor crazy and last but not least we have a very smoothie tech-house remix by John Lagora.

After the stunning success of Arado & Marco Faraone's "Strange Neighbors" (MHR051), we just had to release another of Matthias Tanzmann's summer hits on Moon Harbour. "Sun Splash" by Outart, the project of two Italian producers Fabio Lo Monaco and Andre Sirica, originally came out as a digital bonus on IANUS, the label of Circoloco residents System Of Survival.

With an impulsive percussion groove and a striking brass sample, "Sun Splash" quickly became one of the most played tracks in Matthias Tanzmann's sets and one of the greatest hits at DC10/Ibiza this season. Licensing the track for a vinyl release on Moon Harbour was impossible to resist!

The EP is completed by three as yet unreleased tracks. "Steinburg", "Carrot", and the digital exclusive track "En Vedi" are deeper and more low-key, showing off the two Italian's multifaceted style but without forgetting the dance floor. A fantastic debut for Fabio Lo Monaco and Andre Sirica. Welcome to Moon Harbour!

Anhura Records clearly supports music in 2011 by technifying and electrifying the current house music to give it a new dimension, especially as it will be directed at the dance floors. In this 5th reference, Luca M offers us a warm and vibrant track full of break tricks and signals against which it is impossible to remain inactive.

This producer skillfully controls the timings of the track and furnishes it with those vocal elements which boost and make it certainly attractive. It must be said in this review that, with respect to the satisfactory “Chop me” remixes, Lorenzo Bartoletti adds some percussion power to his work dragging it to techno territory.

DJ Smilk, for his part, decides to sharpen its dancing qualities to make it even more suitable for clubs. Finally, Denis Horvat happily takes the track to the deep side and provides it with a velvety evening aspect which fits it perfectly. Anhura is carrying forward.

The eighteenth release of Italy's capsula takes a turn to more lush techno soundscapes without, of course, sacrificing any of the attitude and edginess which was prominent in previous outings.

Newcomer Kernel Key opens up his debut EP on the label with "Flying Dog", a feel-good workout with sharp drums and intelligent programming. Luigi Madonna twists the original, offering a more dark and stripped down approach, which sneaks up to the unsuspected listener.

Next up is the original mix of "Answer" which nods to the housier side of things, again featuring wonderfully programmed elements and clever arrangement. Tom Ellis shuffles and plods through a dubbier mix, with a serious drum vibe taking over.

The EP closes with "Nozzle", again in an uplifting mood, showcasing Kernel Key's skills in production, while keeping it musical and downright bouncy.
