Paso Music continue their constant run of form by welcoming back, one of the pioneers of German electronic music, Asem Shama. Similar to many German artists, Asem's roots are in Hip-Hop. A renowned rapper in the '80's, he began to experiment with electronic beats, and soon found a new musical home, where he had an unlimited scope to create and develop his own ideas.

Not just an artist, Asem has tasted the success and suffered the headaches of party promotion, as the driving force behind the legendary '90's 'Ravesyndrome' events. Around this time he set up his own studio and 'Syndrome Audio' label with Axel Bartsch.

The following years saw releases on esteemed labels including Bush, Planet of Drums, Frisbee Tracks, Utils and Speil-Zeug, as Asem firmly established himself on the techno circuit. He also flirted with crossover success, when his track 'Flash' became an official remix of the band Queen. Teasing the upper reaches of the charts in both Germany and the UK.

As a label man, Asem has lent his talents to co-founding the Sportclub label, where he has also featured as an artist, and is now part of the highly successful, Berlin based, Highgrade team. To date, he has released more than 80 productions, and in recent months has featured on labels including Highgrade, Ostwind, Kiddaz.FM and Upon You.

Almost 12 months after last making an appearance on Paso Music, with his 'Metroman' EP, Asem returns with another awesome 3 tracker. Showcasing the full spectrum of his sound, the EP ranges from the ascending and cascading synths of the main room aimed 'Creative Visulization'. To the modern, percussive, horn spiked tech-house of 'Law of Attraction', via the low-slung groove and mighty synth work of 'The Secret'.
